My mother in law gave me her stainless steel pots and pans ......the set in the old days where the guy would smash them together and they would not dent....well her set is almost 60 years old and mine is another name brand and is 33 years old.......I love stainless steel.....stands up to most anything

what do you have for pots and pans

I could kick myself! My grandmother's stainless steel pots & pans were up for grabs when she set the grandchildren loose in her house before leaving for the nursing home. I had what I thought was a "nice" set of enamel pans at the time so I didn't take them. I don't know if anyone else did either. :(

Anyway, a year or two later I started having trouble with the outside of the pans...they started to develop weird "grooves" where the enamel actually melted out! I wasn't sure what they were at first...but got rid of them the day I found a melted blob of enamel on one of the burners!

I got a complete set of Circulon. I chose this over the Calphalon DH wanted me to get as I thought they were too heavy. I figured this was my last set for life (this was only about 5 yrs ago & I'm in my 50s) so I opted for the Circulon. I'm not at all happy with them. After about a year they started to peel on the interior bottoms.

I really need a new set, but can't afford them. :(

yu can buy one piece at a time..........like a pot or a frying pan or a double boiler type and they can be sold individually........one is better then none....my set is revere ware or is it regal........but it was by duncan hines and that was 33 almost years ago......we had the non stick ones when we were first married and those lasted NOT LONG......hahaha

I have Revere Ware pots & cast iron pans & love using both! When we moved a few years ago, I had to get used to cooking with gas. When we first got married, I had lots of Teflon pots & pans until they started chipping.

I received Revere Ware with the copper bottoms as a wedding gift almost 21 years ago and they are still going strong, I also purchased West Bend Waterless cookware at the "HOME SHOW" one year actually I put them on their lay away program it took me a year to pay for them they were like $1800.00 six years ago. Well when I finally got them I put them away waiting for my new kitchen and stove well life got in the way of being able to use them for awhile but I have recently put them in my new kitchen. Now don't laugh I'm afraid to use them. They cost so much!!!! Actually I have used them a bit they cook the best steak almost like it was on the grill. I'm dying to do a stack dinner cooking it all at once stacking my pots but just haven't take then time.

I do have one Calaphone (sp) fry pan I love how it has the glass top and you can see through it, and the double handles for a fry pan.
