His BD is Feb 6th...DD's 10th is the 2nd. Haven't figured out what to do for DD's since her room is a total pig sty
BUT.....my best friend as well as my sister want me to throw DH a surprise party.....He threw me one for my 27th (but I found out about it....BUT nobody still knows I know I knew afer 13 years!!!....except my best friend) and also my 30th...which I could go on and on about how surprised I was.....I will NEVER EVER forget how they got me on that one!!!!!
I have threw some surprise parties in my past....well, actually....used my house and even for my sisters 30th...flew in her best friend from FL and totally surprised her....
I think everyone thinks I am a "pro" at these things...but it just seems so hard now...I work 5 days a week 9-3 (kids are 12 and 9 although it will be an adult party)....and also, DH works opposite shift too...which I guess is a plus of some sort...
I am planning for the party to be on the 18th.....that is just because it can buy me an extra week there to get ready...I am going to invite about 50 although about 30 will only show...I am just getting so nervous already.
I still haven't figured out "the plan" for the day to have him arrive home at a "certain" time..He normally works on a Saturday...so I probably have to have a friend from work "work" with me and figure out some kind of plan.....
My parties always turn out pretty good. I am NOT telling the kids until the day...cause I know they would spill the beans!!!
I just feel I am going to be a nervous wreck until......
So, any suggestions are helpful for me at this time of what to do etc......I think the food will be:
misc appetizers
misc munchies
broasted chicken
pasta salad (my sister said she would make)
mostacolli (OR IS THAT TOO MUCH NOODLES??)
cheesey potatoes (instead of the mostacoilli)
cake
beer (lots of it, for our group)
maybe some schnapps
I just wanted to let someone else in on the surprise I guess...so dumb....I almost slipped today with DH on the phone!!
