I guess DCL can get $48K for a Fantasy cabin . . .

$48k is no more shocking than our neighbor who shelled out $75k for a Tesla. I guess he had plenty of money burning a hole in his pocket.

However, the cruise is for 1 week, the Tesla will last several years. Although that being said, I paid less for my most recent used car than I did on my DCL vacation.

In some places, I'm sure you can buy a house in the $48K - $75K range.

Mike

PS, I do agree with a PP who wrote that Tesla is an amazing car.

If you really want to fry your calculator, multiply that figure by about 2.5. The 2 Royal suites are separated by a "regular" 1 br suite in between, but there are doors in the foyer that will open up and allow all 3 suites to be connected. One of the concierge team members told us on the last cruise that it is not that uncommon for someone to book all 3 suites for a week. Although she did say that several of the times it has been by celebrities, which explains a lot.

OMG this is AMAZING. If you have the means and are doing a group cruise or a multi-generational family cruise this idea sounds FANTASTIC! Plus you could add the two one bedroom suites on either side of the royal suites and have almost the entire front 10th of the deck!

It doesnt surprise me a bit. There are some very rich people in this country that want to give their kiddos a disney experience. These same people pay thousands a night for high end hotel suites, have their own jets, probably even their own yachts.. If you made millions every year would you care? Tiger woods ex wife stayed in the Royal suite on the Dream the cruise before us a few years ago(pre divorce). They have their own yacht, but even it doesnt have Mickey mouse.

I would consider it if I made 2+ million/year or won that Powerball game I never play. "Affordable" is all relative. For celebrities or high profile people who want to cruise with their kids and not be bothered by us peasants, the royal suites would offer them privacy they wouldn't get anywhere else on the ship.
