I grabbed two "Be Our Guest" Reservations on the same day... which should I keep?

I grabbed two reservations for "Be Our Guest"... one at 8:30am and another at 1:05pm on the same day. I don't want to do both!

I understand that you can get into Fantasyland earlier with the breakfast reservation... but the food is more expensive, and I've heard it is not as good. I've also read a rumor that the CM's might be trying to prevent the loophole allowing people to get on rides earlier than the rope-droppers do... is this something I should be nervous about?

Additionally, the lunch reservation is cheaper and I heard that the food is better. Any input on which reservation I should keep?

IMO, the food is better at lunch, and definitely cheaper.

I wouldn't worry nearly as much about the CM's closing the loophole, as I would Disney changing the opening time to 8am.

That's probably why I will keep both reservations until the week beforehand... just to make sure that I don't get surprised with a last minute EMH during breakfast!

I’d go with lunch.
From the sounds of things, you can rope drop and get on just about anything for quite a while.

I agree. Lunch is way better, and less money for food.

OP- you can keep both and watch the park opening hours. If they change hours I woudl ditch that ADR.

We also got a lunch and breakfast and I kept the lunch. Neither menu look thrilling but I am dying to see the inside.

I’m voting lunch too. It’ll give you a nice air conditioned break during the day when crowds are higher. You can use the early morning hours to hit up more rides with low lines. Also, these days it seems like 7DMT isn’t as hard to get as a FP, so you can do that rather than rush at rope drop.

We had breakfast and dinner there last Thurs. We thought the breakfast was just ok but loved our dinner. Also, our breakfast was 8am and we were in line for SDMT by 8:40. It didn’t open early, but the CM escorted us on just as the park opened at 9, and we were on the first ride of the day. Loved it!

That rumor appeared to be based on a misconception that early breakfast meant you could ride 7DMT before the park opens. The PPO advantage has always been that you get to be at the front of the line before the rope drop guests; it does not mean the ride actually opens any earlier for you. Still, that is a nice time saver, and we really enjoy getting into the park early with the hectic scramble of rope drop.

I would do lunch. Breakfast isn't even on my radar with the ridiculous prices.

You could also keep both and just grab a coffee and a cupcake, a kids meal, or share a single adult meal. I’ll be honest though, I’m probably a little too obsessed with Beauty and the Beast. This would, however, still give you the touring benefits of the PPO while you get the better meal (and a break in air conditioning) at lunch. You could eat in a different room each time and switch it up a little. :)

what dates are we talking about? there is a chance that preopening could become after an 8 opening unless there is a paid early morning which means you would be held anyways

Another vote for lunch.

It’s a great air-conditioned place to hang out after spending all morning in the heat.

Plus the food is not bad.

There was a time when the CM's actually did open the attraction before park openings those folks who got that PPO could dine and then dash to Mine Train. Many reported riding several times before the park actually opened.
