I got to do Soarin' Friday!

Hey everyone...

I just got back (trip reports and pics coming soon!) while we were in Epcot walking towards Imagination....

A CM walked up to me and my fiancee and asked if we wanted to preview Soarin'


HECK YEAH!

We couldn't take pictures, but the show building is BEAUTIFUL and the ride is great! It's still California (obviously) and Patrick Warbuton is the host.

It looks like most of the Coming In May attractions are opening on May 5th when they start the 50th anniversary of Disneyland.

So that's why Patrick Warburton and his family were staying at AKL in December! (I also know that his show is on ABC, which is Disney).

So..this is the same as Soarin in DCA.

Yes except in FL it will only be called Soarin. The interior theming is different from CA.

Does anyone know or think that they will change the California views to Florida or something that may fit in a little better in the world showcase? I'm sure it would be expensive but I think would be really nice!

No plans at this point. The theming will be different than CA. Here in FL it will be like you are at an airport going to visit the cities shown in the movie.

I like the CA version. Not many mountains in FL. That is one of the best parts of the film.

Patrick Warburton is best known as "Putty" from Seinfeld.

I know he was one of the voices in "The Emperor's New Groove". Don't remember the character's name but it was the big, dumb, bad guy who was the assistant to the woman who was chasing the llama. His name was Kronk.

I see from a previous post, he has a show on now, but I don't know that either. He is also in commercials.

Soarin' is one of our favorite rides from California Adventure and I can't wait to ride it when we got to WDW in June.

I was actually just reading my Unofficial Guide last night and it says that there are plans to replace the Soarin' film in the Fall of 2007 to coincide with Epcot's 25th Anniversary. It will have scenery from all around the world.

Just got back from Epcot. They weren't doing any rides for Soarin. I really wanted to ride it.

Soarin' Over California is one of my favorites in Disney's California Adventure. I can't wait to ride Soarin' in Epcot

The "Airport" they build for the preshow was beautiful, one of the best preshow areas I've ever seen - the entire queue will be indoors from what I can tell - fast pass machines and everything.
