So, as we are still not settled on a camper, I have decided I can't stand it, I have to make a reservation at the Ft. So, we are going to make a reservation for a cabin.

Now for the next decision, should I do the reservation for October, or Thanksgiving week? We have full intentions to not go commando at the parks the entire visit, just casually visit the parks, and then do some of the other activities at the Ft. and around Disney. Not to mention relax at the Ft.

So, when would be your favorite? For the Ft.?

We LOVED the MNSSHP. It was an absolute blast for us, and would love to do it again at some point. I would actually love to do MVMCP, but, my understanding is, this party doesn't happen during Thanksgiving week.

So, what do you think?

Given what you've said, I'd definitely go with October. Thanksgiving week is one of the most busy/popular - at the Fort and WDW in general - and isn't really conducive to a more laid-back time.

Whichever you choose, have a great time!

We did MVMCP two times the week preceeding Thanksgiving. We arrived to the Fort on Wed (the week before Thanksgiving) and left the Friday after Thanksgiving. We had a blast, and virtually empty parks until about the Tues before Thanksgiving then things started getting busy.

Don't know if that time frame is an option, but it worked out great for us. Still got to see all the Christmas Deco and had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day in the World and then left when it was getting busy.

Have fun whatever you decide!

True that MVMCP doesn't go on during T-day week. I believe it starts back up the Sunday night after Thanksgiving.
