I was bidding on a timeshare on e-bay and lost. Anyway, the seller e-mailed me to see if I was still interested and was able to get me the Marriott Cypress Harbor in September for $400/week. A 2bd/2bth, 1350 sq. ft. villa with a washer and dryer and kitchen. Sleeps 8. What a deal! I have already received the paperwork.

Anyway, he said if I knew anyone that wanted one to let him know. Since we are all one big family, maybe I can get someone here a similar deal. He apparently has a few resorts available. i know he has the Sabal Palms on occasion also.

If anyone wants to give this a try, e-mail me at jconce4986@msn.com.

Well, I thought I got a good deal! We got cypress harbour for a week (7/28-8/4) for $495.00 from a friend with a timeshare with Interval International. Got four frequent flyer tickets from southwest airlines (had to pay $20.00 for taxes etc.).

I've heard alot of good things about this property. Cant wait! Only 16 days.............yipeeee! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Wow, a lot of people use that company. We are getting ours from a relative, and it's the same company. We had a choice between the one for 8 people for $399 US or one for 4 people for $274 US. Since it's only going to be me and my bf, we are getting the smaller one. But a week with a full kitchen for what 3 days at All Stars would cost is a great deal.

last time we were at sabal palms they wanted some huge amt(over 100.00) as an activity fee(basically a fee to use the pool etc) that we weren't notified about in advance. we screamed bloody murder(well, not quite, but we objected) and didn't pay it, but u might call to check with the person you got it from. They automatically took it off the credit card i used to check in with that they were only supposed to use for phone charges! also we were down there exchanging our timeshare, which shdn't have effected it, but might have. we've stayed at cypress harbor in the past and loved it... not sure if you have the option, but ask if you can have a room by the rear fountain, where the porch looks out over the fountain in the lake, its to the left in the back, nice and quiet and relaxing too!(this is Cypress Harbor) we're spoiled now, and if given a choice wd choose cypress harbor over sabal palms anytime!

MelissaS and st_claire, do you know if Cypress Harbor is their home resort or if they exchanged for it? My mother has Interval International and we were wondering how hard it is to get a place down in Florida. Do you have any idea? TY

If you book pretty soon then you stand a good chance of getting it. Just call them up and ask.

Meeshi....

Cypress Harbour is not their home resort. Their home resort is here in Missouri. They had "banked" this week and we were lucky enough to get this week back in May. :Pinkbounc

I'm already thinking about booking another week for next year. Normally it takes six to twelve months to find a place such as this.

Good Luck!;)

I appreciate any information on Cypress Harbour that anyone may have. Especially suggestions about the room location. I feel overwhelmed looking at the map of the property and I'm not quite sure where is the best place to be. We have a seven year old and a four year old so I guess close to the pool would be good. I've heard you can see the fireworks at sea world from certain spots! Thanks for everyone's help.:)

look at the map, go in the front entrance, turn left, go all the way to the left (golf course will be on the far left) and back, follow the road past the clubhouse where you workout, a pool, and some watercraft(on your right). just past the clubhouse there should be a fountain in the middle of the road(rocks with water cascading down it last time we were there) you want the condo's to the left. You'll be close to where the golf course is, so check that side of complex. Ask for first floor if you have little ones, its easier! You aren't too close to the pool, and we found it easiest to go to the main pool behind where you check in(food, restrooms etc all easy access, plus some shade. also, last time we were there, someone was letting you use digital cameras during your stay for free, except you paid to have them developed(only the ones you chose). Not sure they still do it. I know you can see the fireworks from nearbye, if not from your condo. Regarding how far ahead you have to book, we'd book in Feb for late June or July. Never had trouble getting the room we wanted and a two bedroom, even though we trade up from an efficiency. have fun!

These weeks can be purchased for $199 quite often. I purchased valentine week 2001 for $199 for a two bedroom. My nephew used it for his honeymoon. September can be had for even less.

HI THERE I WAS JUST READING ABOUT THE CONDO DEALS. I TRIED TO EMAIL THE PERSON THAT HAD STARTED THIS POST, AND MY EMAIL CAME BACK. CAN SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE GIVE ME THE INFORMATION? WE ARE TRYING TO PLAN OUR FIRST TRIP AND NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET. THANK YOU ALL AHEAD OF TIME.

:p
