Oh man. Delta just called me about my flight out of Orlando on the 23rd. They wanted me to change my flight to the day before or the day after. That's just impossible for us. So, I know that others have had this happen. Do you suggest that we get to the airport more than 2 hrs. early so as to be sure of a seat?? I am sooooo bummed. Advice?

As long as you have a confirmed reservation, they cannot make you change your date, and as long as you get checked in within the timeframe that the airline sets (check the website), then your chances of being involuntarily bumped are minimal. Don't sweat it. Really.

Which flight on the 23rd are you booked on? They have done away with the 7:20am flight.

Did they explain why they've to change your flight? This is really annoying. USAir used to do this to us WITHOUT notifying us!

I'm flying Song late Sept. They better not do this to us, otherwise, I'll never fly them again, just like USAir.

goofy4tink said that they were flying out of Orlando on the 23rd, not to Orlando. So, the cancellation of the early morning flight from BOS has nothing to do with it.

Thanks for catching my error alexturner74. I misread the goffy4tink's post. I am going to try and delete it now.

This is what I was told:

If you made the reservation and chose the flights, and they confirmed it, they cannot change it on you without your consent while the flights still exist.

But if your flight is cancelled and you are moved to another flight (sometimes takes place automatically), the airline can keep moving you if you don't contact them to "accept" the move.

Choose seats immediately, even if only "bad" seats are available. Then change them if and when you can.

This is where it helps to have Internet access and check back on line periodically. Do a print screen of all confirmation emails. Signing on and seeing that something has changed is not a confirmation.

And to think my friends think I'm somewhat obsessive about checking my flights daily!!! Talked to Song and the rep there said she couldn't see why Delta was making calls. So we should be fine. Another case of premature panic on my part!!!

Ought to be interesting and see if this division of Delta pulls a profit. So far it seems they are out of control!

The sad thing is they have the best flight times for me. But for my trip besides the fact the prices are OUT OF SIGHT, they only have 25 seats sold on a plane with 180+ seats!

I've been seeing all the reports on this board of flights being changed/cancelled and it's making me nuts. I've been hoping that they lower their prices but I'm scared that my flight will change once I'm booked with them.

They are not even close to being a low cost carrier. My flight dates for SW are high because the specials are not available for my flight down, but are for my return. Since they first released the dates they have been this way. But Song is over $60 more pp for their flights.

I've been thinking about trying Jetblue out of JFK and getting a limo to/from the airport. They have great flight times and price is even lower than SW. Would cost me about the same for flight/limo as SW with better flight times.

And Delta wonders why they are not doing good. Can it be your prices and canceling practices?

It's 199 seats and fares are not always set by how many seats are sold at the time.

I don't believe Song has changed their flight schedule much, if at all. The one early flight from BOS to MCO was a Delta flight, which was not continued when Song service was initiated.

Oh boy this bothers me! I am booked with them for the 23rd of October arriving in Orlando, I know the 11:30AM flight that morning is sold out and my 3:10PM is less than half booked so I am not worried about them changing it, however, I have noticed that the return flight on the 3rd is not that full and they are NOT selling tickets to it if you do a search. Kind of makes me think they are going to cancel it and force us to take the 7:30 AM and that is the exact reason why we are not coming back on Sunday, dh didn't want to get up that early last day of vacation.

If anyone else is getting "the call" PLEASE post! Thanks!

It looks like both the 11:30 flight and 4:25 flight from MCO to BOS are both about half full. I don't understand what you mean by them not selling tickets. I went to flysong.com and was able to start a reservation for all 3 flights on 11/3.

Have been checking the Song prices for some time now for a long weekend in November - always way overpriced it seemed - then 5 days ago, i checked and they had seats from Hartford for $177. rt, and nonstop to Orlando, i got them fast! It is a night flight going and a noon flight returning - hope there are no problems. Thinking positive thoughts!!!:)

I went directly through Delta.com and you cannot book a flight on the 11:30 AM return flight from MCO to BOS on 11/3. I just tried through flysong.com and it allowed me to, that's strange. Try it on Delta.com and let me know how it comes up for you. I was trying with 6 people maybe that was the problem.
