:bounce: :bounce: When I called CRO a few days ago to make my ressie, I asked about the AP discount. The CM told me that the AP was listed as "pending" and there was nothing she could do.

Well, when I called back today to make some changes to my ressie, I asked again about the AP discount for January '03. The CM told me that it was still in "pending" then, the Magic happened...she said "just a second" then before I knew it I had my AP discounts for my trip. ASMu for $49 and Poly Garden view for $179.

I am sooooooooooo excited!!!! If you are waiting for the AP discount for that time, it may not be a bad idea to call.:bounce:

If the AP rates are out does that mean the codes should be out soon as well??? Patiently waiting.............

With Halloween coming up this week, what a wonderful treat it would be to get the Poly at that rate. Hoping my DU agent comes through a special Poly rate for our upcoming trip.

Fingers and toes crossed

I just tried......I have to wait until Monday!! But I was quoted a price, $578 savings for my Polynesian trip this January. I can't wait till Monday.....she did tell me not to call right at 7am, because of all the Cindy reservations at that time....so guess I'll wait till 7:15!!
:D

I just called... I have to wait until Monday, but she told me the Moderate rate is $88 dollars a night for a standard room...
It's a little more than last year, but oh well!

Does anyone know what the comparable rate would be for Poly with a code vs. Poly with the AP rate for January '03? I've already bought our 5 day Park Hopper Plus Tickets, but now I'm wondering if I should buy the AP just to get a great AP Poly rate. I've got ressies for Poly in January, AAA rate. Suggestions????

Glad the kids are gone by 7:00am. Sounds like I might be on the phone Monday.

Did anyone happen to get a rate for the Poly GV Concierge? We are going 1/19/2003-1/26/2003 and are anxiously awaiting those AP rates.

seeWDW,

From what I've seen over the last year or so, the AP rates, in general, seem to be only about $10 less than the code rates.

But, for our family, we needed two rooms, so the savings was significant. Now DH and I get to go back alone in November :D .

Hope you get a good rate!

Oh, seeWDW-

I forgot to answer your specific question about the Poly. Code rates for last January, garden view, were $179 and AP rates were $174.

We also stayed at AKL on the same trip. Code rate for savannah view was $189 and the AP rate was $169.

We're staying at the Polynesian Concierge also January 19-25. We're anxiously awaiting the AP rates too. It's got to be a lot better than paying $390 (+tax)/night.

We can hardly wait!!!!!!

Called @ 7:30am. First CM said no way until Monday -- can't even give me rates. Called back and second CM first said Ok, then "Oops, you're a day early!" He tried a couple other ways, thought it worked, but it wouldn't take. He did tell me rates though: Cont. Tower std (5-11) is $255, Tower 12 (mini-concierge) is $300, & Standard is $172. (Didn't quote Tower 14.)

So are you guys just asking for the Annual Pass rates or do you have the code for the Annual Pass rates? I know that the Mickey Monitor listed a code for the Annual Pass rates. Just wondering how you have been asking for rates so far.

I called Sunday morning and the CM said the rates weren't available, BUT it would be nice if I called back in, like ONE DAY.
He said AP discounts will be up to/around 30% off the value season rate.
I asked how the Caribbean Beach Rehab was going and he said that last he heard it will reopen in January.

I just asked for "AP rates for January". The CM was looking for the right thing, but alas I have to wait til Monday!

This CM was alot nicer, but he couldn't book the AP rate either. I guess we wait till tomorrow. He did check my current reservation and made sure everythingwas correct. All I have to do is call Monday, ask for the AP rate, give them the 12 digit reservation number, and the CM will apply the discount....

Good luck to all!

Annette

I may be posting this in the wrong place, but speaking of the Caribbean Beach resort, I was on Expedia a few days ago, and for reservations starting January 1st, Expedia is taking reservations for Caribbean Beach. It no longer says "no rooms available for this resort" in red letters like it has been doing when you click on that resort. Not sure if CRO is doing that as well, but if you really want CBR, you can probably at least get a reservation on Expedia for it. I believe the rates were rack rates for value season- $133 plus tax for standard, and I think $148 or something like that for water view.

Mom of 5,

Thanks for the info!! I'm VERY new at this. This will be my family's first trip ever !! The last time I was at WDW, Epcot was still "new". And I was there as teen (camping in June!!). I'm getting excited, especially if I can Poly conc. at a great rate.

Polygirl, we might see you there! Our trip is Jan. 17-21.

Now a question - are there a limited number of rooms at these rates??? Since I'm new at this, should I plan on calling at 7:15 (to give marketing time to check updates before the posting) ??

Good luck to everyone. Ready or not...dial!

Yep, seeWDW, there are a limited number of rooms available at the discounted rate. But, if you call reasonably soon, you should hopefully be able to get the rate at the resort of your choice. Also, even if you can't get the discount right away, keep calling back to check, as there may be cancellations.

Good luck :D !

Hi,

Called this morning and was able to get the AP rate for our Feb 1st through the 6th trip at CSR. Great price at $79 plus tax a night. Rack rate during this time frame is $133 plus tax a night. You have got to love AP rates.

Good luck to all.

Just called CRO re: ressies for 1/1 through 1/5 at the Contemporary. Changed ressie from $371 (tax included) per night in Tower to $300 per night (tax included) on 12th floor Tower w/ limited concierge service (ie,continental breakfast every morning and snacks every afternoon). I purchased an AP for the rate (therefore don't have to purchase park hopper tickets) and wound up saving $115 total for the parks and hotel stay and upgrading the room. Thanks for the heads up DISers!

Being a newbie, it sure helps to have your experience from which to learn.:D
