I got scammed

yes. on friday 20 i got scammed. I was trading for a sparrow hat even tho i already had 1.. and i said she can give it in the second trade. so i gave her 1 full trade ( actually the room was offer for sparrow shirt ) then she left the room about a mili-second after. I dont remember her name on vmk. Any advise on what i can do? if so, please post. i hope i can get my stuffs back some how

Well I have advice for what you could have done before you traded at all.

~ Never listen to people who say, " First trade me what you are going to give me. I'll give - Insert Here - in the next trade. "

~ Try and contact VMK, even though they probably wont get your stuff back maybe they could try, and possibly ban the person who took your things.

That's really all I have. I'm not sure what else you could do/try. Good luck getting your things back.

yea.,.,.,.,.,.,.,., i must get my items back or my dream for sparrow will end unless i get the inferno from a host i would trade it for to sparrow and to stitch... bc i dont really like inferno, lol

I'm sorry to hear that happened - but there's really nothing that can or will be done. If you have to trade more than one window you should invilve a CL. If she was on your list I can bet you she's not on it anymore

Sorry, but how could a leader help? They can't do anything another player can't, they can't monitor trades.

The girl with Sparrow agreed to use the CL as a go-between. She gave
the costume to the leader to "hold" until I finished trading my items to her.

Once I finished trading my items to the girl, the CL gave me the Sparrow
costume.

I'm sorry to say that the VMK home page has this to say about trades:

If you decide to trade an item and it isn't given back, we can't help you recover it, because you knowingly entered into the trade. Remember, you're responsible for your character's actions in the game – no matter what.

That section was regarding people borrowing items, but this applies to any
trade you make in the game.

Well, that's the only way to do it. But I've just been invited to watch two peopel have little T's above they're heads. I don't see how that works.

Sorry, but as far as I can tell, that just hugely increases the possibility of being scammed. Yes, many leaders would never think of doing that, but I'm sure there are still plenty others who would love to.

It depends on the leaders, true. But leaders are easier to report.
Most leaders will not scam, simply because they would be kicked out of
the program if they do that.

The leader I used is fairly well known on a couple of VMK boards, and
the trade I made was with someone on another board.

My two cents on asking a leader to help on a trade...I will ONLY help with friends on my list that I know WELL. It's always possible to scam the CL. Who would be blamed for a bad trade if that CL crashed in the middle of it? Yes, the CL. Another reason I don't like large trades is the length of time involved. Sorry, Guys..

Back to the original topic... When you enter a trade, fill the trade window and click accept twice, three times, if there's nothing offered by the other party, this is called a "gift". Sorry, just how it is. VMK most likely won't get your things back for you, as you knowingly clicked "accept" more than once.
Use the contact us tool to report the trade, giving as much information as possible. That's all you can do.

The only advise is, DON'T EVER AGREE TO THAT AGAIN WITH SOMETHING THAT RARE && that you'll never get your stuff back bc VMK will say that its your fault that u agreed to the trade bc you had the choice. So, if u really want it back, go play POTC DMC.
