I can't believe it! I had the car in park, at the drive up bank teller when a woman pulled in behind me and rammed the back of my car. My head was turned to the left so I didn't even have any neck protection. It seems this just happened to me! Yeah it did. A year and two days ago. The woman asked me if I wanted to go to her house to call the police. Nope. I told her I would call from the cell and I pulled forward. When the police came, she was gone. Luckily she completed a transaction and I they have her name and address and I will have a police report on Monday. Lucky me.

I feel your pain. Well, not your neck pain.....I've been rear-ended three times! And I drive a big Yukon XL. Do they not SEE that someone is stopped there? How do they miss that?

It's never left any damage to my car, but all three times it damaged theirs. That's the only justice I felt from it.

I have a 300 M (2000) with the best bumper ever made. I will still have to have it fixed! She said that she took her foot off of the brake to reach her check book and papers. I don't think she drove away to evade responsibility. I think she is a ditz!

I don't know about you...but I am almost to the point, if I am able to get out of my car when they rear-end me, of going back there and slugging them! What the heck anyway!??

So, when driving through Montana, the Kalispell area, don't pull up to close to a two-tone white/silver Suburban....especially if the driver is eyeing you in the side mirror!!

That's a strange offer. :confused3 :confused3 At least, you are ok and it wasn't a serious accident.

I think that she just isn't very bright. I don't think she is malicious at all. I feel sorry for her.

I've been nailed 3 times, twice with damage and the third with no harm done (very low speed!). All three were MEN by the way (so much for the "woman driver" myth!). I drive a Saturn, which I admit are low to the ground, but the aren't invisable! Or maybe I am...I've never goten a ticket either...HEY! EVERYONE! I have an invisable car! :)

I didn't think that she was going to lure you to her home to "dispose" of you and your car. :teeth: I think it's just an odd thing to offer. :teeth:

I own a bright YELLOW New Beetle - you would think people would see it, but nope..this past year, I have been hit twice! Luckily both times they had insurance and their insurance claimed responsiblity and paid for everything...but it is still frustrating!

Even when they fix your car - the value of it goes way down! It is annoying!

Has anyone ever been "front" ended? lol

I have........ I was sitting at a stoplight one day, it was just me and this HUGE SUV in front of me. Well right before light turn green, and I don't know why, but the vehicle infront of me actually backed into me!! :rolleyes1

I happened so fast I didn't have time to put my car into reverse or honk my horn. He just rammed his big SUV's butt into the front of my car.. Then, instead of showing ANY concern and pulling over, he just drove away like it was no big deal. I of course took down his license plate # and reported him to the police.

Now I am thinking that she was. The husband just called and he was very nasty to me. Telling me that I was hardly hit. That there isn't a mark on my car and I should just forget about it. I assured him that there was a mark on my car and my neck hurt and I would be seeing my doctor.

And be sure to get the car checked out. On my third rear-ending (is that a word?) I at first thought the bumper could just be repainted, but it turns out his bumper pushed my down a 1/2 inch and they had to replace the whole thing. Instead of a $200 paint job it was an $800 bumper! Moral of the story, don't accept a settlement until you know EXACTLY what it will take to fix your car!

And I hope your neck feels better! Nothing worse than neck pain, believe me, I know!

WOW! What nerve! Did they get him and did he have to pay?

It's good that you got the Police report! Don't ever, ever NOT get a Police report....even if you don't think you were hurt or the vehicles were damaged!

I got rear-ended once, my first injury actually, and the guy was driving himself home after having a chemo session and he looked positively drugged up! He seemed disoriented and could not find his driver's license or insurance information and begged me not to call the police and make a report. I felt sorry for him so I didn't. Boy....was that a mistake! My neck was injured and once his insurance company found there was no official report, they completely ignored me and my claim. We ended up in court, I was called a liar through the whole ordeal, and we lost thousands of $$$! What a nightmare that was!! I still have to get treatment for my neck every once in awhile and we have to pay for it.

The last time I was hit, it was an $800 bumper. I made sure they replaced the shock absorbant material. I am glad I did. I will be sure that they check that out as well. No shock absorbancy, no bumper!
