I got my new puppy!

We surprised our DD's Saturday with a new puppy! She's a 7week old Cocker Spaniel/Beagle mix. She's mostly black, has brown eyebrows and a brown mustache, and a little white on her chin,chest and two front paws.

The beagle we already have is of the opinion that if she doesn't acknowledge the puppy then she doesn't exist. It's too funny.

But, on a scary note, we found out this morning that one of the other puppies from her litter has parvo. It would be so awful to fall in love with this pup only to lose her.

I hope that by the time you have read this you have already been to see your vet with that info. Parvo will kill your puppy.

my sister's dog had parvo as a pup, but she's alright now. she's a beagle/bassett mix. she had to go to the vet for everything as a pup...

hope all is well with the little one!!

Parvo is not always fatal, if caught in time. You should have your puppy tested, so you can treat it if necessary.

I have known of two puppies of friends that had parvo, and they both survived. It was very scary.....
