I got my BOG ADR!!!!

Finally got through after work 4:40. Tried throughout the day and for about 2 hours this morning. Anyhow, no availability left on the four days I could make work Nov. 19-22. :sad2:

Wow, I seem to have missed all the fun this a.m. I knew I had to leave for work at 5:30 this morning, so I emailed IPO to see if they would try and secure the reservation. I was all ready to start the never ending phone call when I got home to see if there was anything left. BUT..I had an email waiting for me. We were able to get a reservation for 12/11 at 4:30 pm. :cool1:

I am beyond excited, to go here for the first time and go to the Christmas Party afterwards. Woohoo!

Called at 6am Central with a phone to each ear and got a busy signal for 30 minutes (main dining line). Got through the automated line and got rezzies for 1/27.

After seeing these posts, I called the same phone number (around 3:15pm Central) and was on hold for 30 minutes. I spoke with Hunter, a delightful CM who soothed me by singing "Be Our Guest" after I panicked that I had dropped the call (he had simply been quietly working on his computer, looking up my info, so he started singing so that I'd know he was still there)...

He switched me to Candolyn (sp?) in Guest Services, and she completed the fix and provided me with a new confirmation #.

They were both really great CMs. I'm not sure why some CMs are following that internal email (and not taking CC#s) and others aren't, though.

We had three people calling. I started calling at 8 am maybe once or twice about every 30 or so minutes. Had a two hour drive to a different work location. Got beep, beep, beep for hours. Just before lunch I started getting a voice telling me the lines were busy. Then at lunch time I called and got beeps, called back and got the voice, then called back again and heard a click and I got through! Dinner during our marathon trip on 1/12!

Well after trying off and on today at work (always busy or the "all circuits are busy") tried when I got home and got in immediately. But my dated (12/12) is booked plus the 2 hours before and after my time including the days surrounding it. Oh well, there is always another trip.

Am I the only one who had her travel agent decide to calla few hours AFTER they opened thinking she can get me a reservation? So mad! I then decided to call around 2 and was on hold for 30 minutes but the lady told me to keep trying back before our trip for any cancellations. So bummed!

I just got off the phone trying to add a credit card to my reservation. I was told that the latest information received by the reservation agents is that you don't need to add the credit card number and your reservation will not be cancelled. They must have realized it was their own mistake and won't penalize those of us who used the automated system that didn't ask for the credit card number. ::MinnieMo

This is what happened to me too. Apparently this has become a major issue for them and the agent actually read me the email/message he received recently, and it mentioned automated reservations specifically. He realized I still sounded skeptical about it but did his best to assure me my reservation was safe.

Ours is at 4:15 that day. And we're doing the party too!

Crazy day today at work so just got to trying a hour ago and got in on the second try and was able to make the reservation.

MIL got us ADRs for 5 on Dec 26 @ 6:45pm. Bless her heart. She was following the new FL expansion on Facebook and noticed BOG would be open when we were going. I knew I wouldn't be able to man the phones this morning so I told her if she really wanted to go, she would have to make the ADRS and it might not be a pleasant experience! She's already called me several times with her "war story" of getting through to Disney dining :lmao:. When the CM asked her if we were celebrating anything, she said she wanted to celebrate just getting through! :thumbsup2

Despite the chaos, I bet there will be more spaces opening up. If you were shut out, keep checking back!

Started calling at 7am EST and gave up at 9am(continuous calling) Tried off and on all day, finally got thru at 2pm and my dates were booked (DEc 1-6)
I wasnt thrilled by the menu but loved the theme. Too bad. Next year probably easy to get an ADR;)

Does anyone know what time of day lunch (counter service) ends and dinner (table service) begins?

TIA

I believe at 4:00.

Congrats to everyone that got their ADR! We spent the morning in the ER with my son who ended up having pneumonia so I wasn't able to call until this afternoon and everything for 11/19 - 11/23 is GONE. Does anyone know if they held any openings for online bookings in 2 days? Just curious.

I am really not that disappointed on this one since there is no characters which is what my kids like. But if anyone wanted to throw a Chef Mickey Ressie our way I would be over the moon.

Called exactly at 7am, was told wait was 15 min, after an hour I was able to get 12/4, 4:20pm, party of 3.

Hard to say which way would have been better.....mad rush vs soft openings. Maybe they could have staggered dates. I would imagine folks who are going in December are far more freaked to get ressies than folks like me who aren't going until Feb. Maybe could have had a pre-sale for certain fan clubs like concerts/broadway shows. Hard to know. :confused3

It just reminded me of the old days when you wanted to go to a popular singer and constantly hit redial to ticketmaster. And you had to be tied to your landline! All in all, the technology has helped, and this will die down after a few days.

Yes, I am going in November so we were much more "freaked" since it's only 88 days away! So happy to have gotten a ressie, even if it's not on the day I wanted. I may try again tomorrow because of the automated thing. Who knows, maybe I could get lucky! And no, I won't be keeping both, I'd be cancelling the 2nd one as soon as I see the new one in the system!

I called up and fixed all this mess with credit card numbers and reservations and automated systems and such and got to keep my ressie from this morning! The exact day and time I wanted for my anniversary dinner :cloud9:

I tried this morning continuously at 7am.....busy....busy....busy until I had to leave for work around 7:30am. Then....called on & off when I got to work & around 9am.......ring tone & a CM actually answered!!!!! I got an ADR for 11/24 for 7 of us at 5:40pm!!!!!! :yay:  :woohoo:

The good thing for you all with 4pm reservations is you can then have dinner at 9 :):rotfl:

Our ressies are for 5:10, 10min, after our requested time. We always eat our dinners early. Have never wanted our children, or ourselves, to go to bed with a full tummy.
At Disney we love to walk around afterwards and be totally relaxed before we think of bedtime. Sometimes we'll have a very light snack later, but that's it.
Could never have a 7:30 or later dinner or we'd be miserably hungry before, and just plain miserable after because that's our largest meal. pixiedust:

I think its officially time for everyone to go back to stalking the Discount Codes and Discounts threads again. pixiedust:

This will be me!

My lovely friend Jennifer, who already had her reservation, was an extra phone in my calling frenzy this morning. She was able to get me a 4:40pm ressie for Nov. 20. I have to switch things up or buy hoppers (which I never do) to make it work! I've never experienced something like this in my life. Just crazy!
