I got IT!!!

When I made my Oct 14 reservations back in Jan 14, (surprise surprise) Halloween was already book. Nearly everyday for the last 7 months I have called or checked online for Oct 31st to complete our stay. TODAY I GOT IT.

I did my normal online check and low and behold, there it was. I tried to scarf it online but the site kept hanging up at checkout. Then I called and did the "we need to confirm some more information" thing but finally got through. We added it to our current trip to fill out our two weeks and hold us till our winter lease begins in Clermont.

This is a happy day.

I'd love to visit the Fort around that time, but it probably won't be until all the kids are in college and DH and I can start taking some adults-only trips.

You and our poster jeeptruck have all had recent success on getting into the Fort for Halloween. Even when it appears (and is) fully booked, people are dropping/adding all the time and if you are persistent you can get in.

Now you can relax and focus on more important matters like what kinds of candy to hand out to the Trick or Treaters.

Thanks to everyone. DW and I have a French Regional Lunch at the F&W Festival that day and it is best I not drive after three hours of French Food and Wine!!

Congratulations! we had the same problem, was unable to book Halloween for weeks but finally it opened up! had to check the website many times during the day. we were so happy! have fun!
