Not my fault! And no one was hurt.
I was driving to my parents and was 2 blocks from their house when a 16 year old kid hit me in his old Miata. He was parking and thought it was in neutral but it was in first, and it kind of jumped out into the street (he was parallel parking) as I drove by. He kept saying it was 100% his fault, even to the policeman, and he was cited so I shouldn't have any insurance issues. I've got a small dent on my front right bumper and fender, plus my rim looks like crap on that tire. It scared the bejesus out of my 12 year old who was sitting in that seat but luckily no air bag deployment (she just graduated to the front seat!).
I feel sorry for the kid--his whole front end fell off (his Miata vs. my trailblazer!) and prom is Saturday. If one of the kids had been hurt I wouldn't be feeling any pity, but since everyone is OK I just feel it will be a very expensive learning experience for this kid.
