i got gutar hero 2 woot

A tip? Don't spend too much time on medium, because the jump from medium to hard is the most difficult, since you have to get used to shifting your hand.

Nice what system did you get it for? Because if you got it for the 360 don't play it for more than 6 hours at a time (it may be a rule for all systems) because it broke my 360 and my HD TV which made me feel sad.

But it is a great game anyway.

Congrats for getting one of the best games ever!!!

I'm going to buy the game tomorrow, 'cause it's my birthday. (Yes, a Friday the 13th birthday.) I can barely wait to go to Wal Mart!:hyper:

Anyway, here's some tips that I can think of...
-When holding a chord("Long Note"), shake the Whammy Bar up and down really fast for extra points.
-Never use Star Power when you can see absolutely no notes. It'll waste it.
-Always try a song first on easy. If it seems very easy, move up to medium.
-Use practice mode! It really helps.

Congrats again,
AC:ewok:

All of those are true except for the whammy bar one. Whammying does NOT give extra points, it has been proven time and time again. Find a song that has a long note as the first note, and play the song twice. But restart after that first note. Hit it, and whammy on one time and not on the other. Make sure you hold the entire note, don't worry about missing the one after it because you shouldn't hit it anyways.

Whammying does give you extra star power on those long notes, but it doesn't matter how fast. You can just press it down every second or two, as long as the note changes to blue and stays there you will get the same amount of star power.
If you want tons of advice, and a great way to see how you rack up, try scorehere.com Beware, there is a little language, but I've only seen it when looking at the top scores.

Look at this topic on the site for the "ultimate GHII strategy guide." A lot of it looks like it is for people who already have some practice, like the part where it tells you where to put your fingers.

I am so excited for tuesday!!! The Guitar Hero Encore is coming out!!! YAY!!! ^-^

yup... I already got yelled at because my sister's bf is coming to our house and I need to buy it so he can play it >_<

Hehe, I wish I would have known this before my sister did her little medium Thing. She has a goal to get 5 stars on all medium songs before doing on to hard. But then again, I don't think she has played for a while.

Anyways, I love my guitar hero. Don't really have any tips
