Up here in NW WI last I checked gas was around 2.50. All I know is last time we filled the suburban up it was around $70.00 Diesel is even more. It is tough when you live in the country and "Town" in at least a half hour drive.
The cheapest that I have seen is $2.13 with a 3 cent/gallon discount if you buy a gift card for the Ingles grocery store and then use it for the purchase, which would lower the price to $2.10/gallon. Maggie
Giant Eagle has a Fuel Perks program where you earn a 10 cent discount on gas for every $50.00 you spend in groceries at their store.
They have started to build their own Get Go gas stations and that is where you must purchase your gas to receive your discount. (You swipe your Advantage Card at the pump and it shows how much of a discount you have earned and then adjusts the amount due.)
You do have to travel a bit at the moment to find a Get Go station (but our town is in the process of building one). My DH travels for his job and has no problem finding a Get Go station.
