Hi everyone,
Loooooong time lurker, so thanks for all of your great tips and info.
I had always thought that you couldn't get the luggage tags if you didn't live in the US, but lo and behold - the tags came in the mail!
Not sure if it was a fluke or not, but for this booking, I:
1) Booked hotel via US hotel site
2) Booked flights separately
3) Booked the DME through the Disney website separately
On closer inspection, it looks like the DME pack was sent to the hotel site for some reason - even though I booked the other stuff separately. They have then forwarded it on to me in Aus. Haven't received my magic bands in the mail though, so not sure how I could get one but not the other?
In case this is now a common thing - ignore this post, but if not - yay! We now get an extra part of the Disney magic!
So when I arrive in LAX, I should:
1)Pack my tags in my carry-on
2)Go through immigration
3)Grab my bags, put the tags on, go through customs
4)See my bags again in my hotel room???
