What did it say on the e-mail before you opened it? I got 2 e-mails from Disney and I have this stupid block kinda thing(computer idiot) and it won't let me open them. Please let me know-I'm sure you saved it.Thanks

Yeah the CM was really nice and said Boy did you get that early. He talked with someone there and they told him is should be available on 8/2.

It said that their were discounts on Deluxe resorts and the info he was reading didnt say anything about the blackout dates but he said that could change before Monday. So I am keeping my fingers crossed there are some good rates.

Mine came from Walt Disney Resort and said

Save on a Walt Disney World(R) Resort stay this fall!

Do you think this means there won't be discounts for Christmas? This one looks like it goes up to 12/19/04. Last year they had discounts all the way up to 12/26/03. Hmmm....

You guys are correct. They said August 2nd would be the day they could start quoting and reserving rooms with these rates.

Why would 10/17/04 - 10/20/04 be blacked-out for this rate. Is that a holiday - don't think so. That's funny!!??
Anyone have any idea why that would be a peak time?

I wonder if it would come in the junk mail box or regular box. I always delete my junk mail before checking it. I'll have to glance from now on.

Also, how would Disney get my email address? Just by having a registered account for anything on Disney.com?

I dont know how they got my email address but I signed up for the usual things like shopping and free vacation video. Also I gave them my email on my last reservation.

It was funny because when I called they questioned me because the address was different in the system. I had moved two years ago and it had that address. So I could have gotten postcards over the last two years and the new tenents got it. Oh well I am thankful that I got it.

I wondered about 10/17 to 10/20 as well. we're only planning a long weekend from 10/15 to 10/18 so it's only one night of our trip that would be affected but I still wonder why that would be blacked out.
