I Got An Email

I got mine Sunday morning and I sent it to my tavel agent. She sent me an e-mail back and said my amount due is updated. Well let me tell you, I was completely floored when I saw AKL balance for $198.00! Room only, savannah view and Nov 25-27! I already paid the first nights stay at $306. The total was around $504.
The original amt due was $900 ( no codes).
I also have Pop Century for Nov 27-Dec 5 at $54 a night, preferred!! After I saw how low AKL was, I sent an e-mail asking if that was the correct rate! I was told it was! :cheer2:
I'm a single mom and this November will be my 30th bday and my sons 11th bday (:bday: to us) so this is a great present! More spending money for us! This has :sunny: brightened my week!

Hopefully everyone here can get in on this deal! Good Luck!
:wave2:

So from what I understand we can't use someone else's code, you have to have your own and we can only get that in an e-mail or a postcard?

I actually emailed Disney yesterday, asking why some people get these email discounts and others don't. Naturally, all I got in return today was a "form" letter, telling me to be sure my preferences with disney.com are set to accept email offers from Disney companies. I, very politely, wrote back and told them that I really wanted more of an answer than a preprinted form letter. Don't think it will do any good but for the life of me, I can't figure out any rhyme or reason with who gets the codes and who doesn't!

always quiet:

I'm with you on this one! I just don't get it. I'm checking my email everyday, even a few times a day and nothing...

Don't give up yet, I just got one today! Just keep checking your emails!

I got my email today. Now if I could only find a cheap airfare from LAX. If you see one let me know.

we got the email! ::yes::

do any of the moderates sleep 5 people??

we have HIFS booked for $79 a night (plus all 3 kiddos eat free), is it worth the extra $200 to get 2 rooms at a value resort and stay onsite??

$200 is a LOT of money to us  LOL
and this will be probably our first and only trip :)
so want it to be very memorable :)

3boysmommy,

Used to be called Dixie Landings (now POR) can accomodate 5 BUT I personally would stay at HIFS. We stayed there in July and it was great. The food is just OK - breakfast is great, dinner in Club Car is something I would never do again though. The kids eat free and adults free breakfast is a fantastic savings and in my opnion worth it. We didn't do DIsney during our two night stay - instead transfered to the BCV for 5 nights - so I can't comment on their transportation which I have heard is not great BUT with the money you will save on breakfast alone, 3 TV's, a seperate bedroom with king size bed for adults, bund beds for the kids and the sofa that pulls out it is great. I have some photos of our room somewhere if you would like to see them. Let me know. We had a Disney themed room.

thats what I kinda figured :)

with 3 boys the FREE breakfast is GREAT! LOL

and since we've never stayed onsite, we wont know what/if we are missing anything!
we will be driving, so will have our van for transportation :)

Thanks for the help!!

too bad we cant share the codes, hate to see it go to waste :(

3boysmommy,

Depending on when you like to go to sleep you might want to request a room away from the pool. It is opened late and gets noisy. We were on the 4th floor in room 1451 (I think) I was worried when I saw it but it was great. No one above us to hear, little foot traffic down the hallways, we even had a view of the fireworks from Downtown Disney and I think we even saw some from the Magic Kingdom.

Lots of room in the bathroom to store stuff. The kids suite room lacked a dresser but we made due without it. I think my kids (ages 6 & 8) loved the bunk beds the best and their own TV, bed lights, and space.

I loved the king bed (only have a queen at home)

Any other questions about the hotel just ask.

One thing we didn't get to do that I wished we had was make a tye dye shirt each. Down by the pool this offer this for approx 10.00 PP and the kids and you get to make your own tye dye shrits - they provide all supplies, you do the work with assistance and it is a great inexpensive souviner (sp?) for all.

I just requested a vacation planner and then turned around and checked my email and there it was. I finally got an email from disney. I'm booking today.

I received an email today. Called but only mods left were Riverside and Caribbean Beach. We have stayed at both before so kept our current AAA rate at French Quarters.

It seems like I only receive them when I can't use them. I am on hold now. Wish me luck I am trying for a cabin.

Woohooo I just got the email also. It was sent last night around 11:30. Now I wish I had his kids school schedule for the fall. I know its not valid during Thanksgiving week but does anyone know how busy it is the week after Thanksgiving?

Also, Does anyoen know if I can go through Dreams Unlimited and have them book for me with the Pin Number?

LisaNJ25,
The week after Thanksgiving is very quiet!:hyper: We're leaving PA on the Wed after Thanksgiving ourselves!! ::yes:: Now if ONLY we'd get one of those little emails!!!!:bounce: I swear, this is so aggrivating!! Knowing there are codes out there for my time frame and not getting one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My youngest DD got the mail today (regular kind! ;) ) and she starts yelling "Mommy!! You got mail from Disney World!" :earseek: I instantly think "DISCOUNT!!" :hyper: I grab the mail and instead of any sort of discount, it is from the Walt Disney Company, inviting me, as a shareholder, to send in a photo to be included in a large Mickey photo collage for DisneyLand's 18 month celebration. :faint: :crazy2: Time to go back to being bummed!

We have never recieved an e-mail, but like clock-work we get a post card with a great code a month "after" we have returned from our vacation!! Isn't that Murphey's law!!
