I got an AP rate 5 days out! Yes, it's for Thanksgiving weekend!

Okay, so we're 5 days out and I call up just to confirm my ressies and Ps's.

We are at the WL (woods) for five nights 11/26-12/1. 11/26 and 11/27 were blacked out for discounts. When the AP rates first came out I was on the phone at 6:55 am dialing away. Got right through and no luck . I wanted to get the AP rate for my last three nights. I was able to get it for the last night (the Sunday night of T-weekend). So, I had four nights at 244.19 and one at 139.38. That has been t case since the day the AP rates were released. I called back a few times after that-no luck.

So.... today I just call up to confirm everything and the CM says to hold on a minute (I didn't even ask her to check for discounts). She said she could get me the AP rate for Sat.night, too!! So, now I have the first three nights at rack and last two at AP and she did mark it as a continuing ressie (as it was before). Well, it only saved us about $100, but that is pretty much what we spend for meals in a day, so it's something!

Susy, Happy Thanksgiving! Have fun with the new spare change in your pocket. Think about doing something special with it, like a carriage ride or some souvenir photos in a couple of the theme parks.

As long as what you buy is either film or more memory cards for your digital camera, you will be forgiven.

I always check for AP rates at the last minute. I can't tell you how many times I have acutally gotten one, but the success ratio has been high.

(Your post has encouraged me! I "think" that I will be going to Tampa the first week in December and was plotting adding a night at Disney. I think I will give them a call later today)

Also ask when you check in if the AP rate is available for any of the other nights. We had that happen once. Good luck!

Susy - that's terrific! Every little bit helps and that was really nice of the cm to check for the discount without even being asked. That is the Disney spirit we love to hear about!!
