I got an amazing upsell for New Years, today!

Decided today that I wanted to do a New Years trip to WDW. Called WD Travel inquiring about anything. Was offered CBR for $209+tax or standard view at WL for $324+tax. "Oh well", I thought. Then she said, "wait, something odd is coming up." How about a room at the Yacht Club for $224+tax." I said "absolutely!"

That's 50% off Holiday Rack of $449! Heck, that's basically regular season AP rates! Anyone else get this deal?

We got an upsell at the poly the 1st week of december. When we checked in, I asked if concierge was available. We had booked a GV standard room. I told the attendant I would like to know how much it would be to upgrade. She disappeared into the back room. When she came back, she offered us an upgrade of $75. I asked if that was $75/night she said no that would be for the full stay of 7 nights. So, I guess I got lucky also. We ended up staying poly conc for 7 nights for approx. $1500. I love it when good things happen. You definitely got a good deal. We love the YC. What a way to start the new year. Have a good trip and happy holidays.

Thanks for the kind replies. I was truly shocked, as there were no AP or Resident codes that apply to check-ins after 12/25 and before 1/3. A co-worker called later that day and was offered the room at $449. Right now, the weather's looking great. Hope it holds up - planning on spending some serious time at Stormalong Bay. Wait, wait. It gets better. Checked in this morning and got upgraded to a cresent lake room. I'm sitting on the patio now and takinmg in tghe view. Th planets aligned for me, apparently.
