I got a call from Tom Staggs assistant. Very nice. Said he appreciated my letter and totally agreed with me. She said that resort specific merchandise would be coming back starting with the Boardwalk etc-this year.

Since Tom Staggs was the one who made the changes to Fantasyland Forest to try and interest boys, I hope he's as insightful and reverses all the horrible choices Jay Rasulo made. God, he totally screwed up so much that was good.

My MIL made comments several times through out the days we traveled to WDW 12/1-12/10. In fact she didn't buy anything related to AKV or WDW in general because of the decrease in quality and options. Some of us can't and don't need to wear paper thin, tight, tight, show every lump t shirts. That is why I have never EVER bought a t-shirt in the parks. I am Pooh sized and the selection looks horrible on my fat rolls..to be blunt.

MIL had the opportunity to visit DTD at DL after Christmas--wow what I difference she noticed. She loved the variety and came back with a shirt.

I would also like to see the porceline princess figurines come back. They had one of every princess. I got three of them and then Tinkerbell before they completely did away with them. Now they are all plastic or resin and are jars with lids in the middle of the dress. A 42 yr old doesn't buy those for her home. As a disney-holic and DVC member I am all for a petition to get things changed--pleeeeze. DH and I would spend lots more moeny if things weren't so generic and of cheap quality. We now get postcards and ornaments when we go. Heck even the ornaments were old and from last year--still in shops this year. The MVMCP ornament was made of cheap felt. OK I will stop my rant and move on...

I hope this is true because I was disappointed too that there was no resort specific merchandise. I wanted a new t-shirt from Coronado Springs. Also, the "I Did It" shirts, in my opinion, should go to participants who finish the marathon. I had a friend of mine who ran in it and he didn't mention anything about the t-shirt.
