Well, it's official......HELLO! MY NAME IS CHERIE AND I AM A GROWN UP!!:sad1: ;) :thumbsup2

We just traded in my Infiniti G35 (sedan) for a new 2007 Yukon!:scared1: Seriously though, I really like it. It's so much more roomy and although my other car was comfortable, this is comfortable in a different way. Plus, it has come just in time for our loooong drive to WDW in about 18 days!:drive: WOOO-HOOOO!!!!

Congrats! We got our Yukon last year just in time to make a trip to WDW also. I am so glad we did. Its so nice and roomy. No matter what, I love it.

I had a Yukon for 6 years and loved it. Just wait to you outgrow it, though! We have now gone to a Suburban... now THAT is scary! Enjoy the new ride!

I just bought a 2003 Yukon XL today...I LOVE IT!!! it only had 40K miles on it too!! WOOHOO!!! It is fully loaded and it also has the flip down DVD screen..The carpet was stained up so I told them the only way I would buy it is if they installed all new carpet in it (just to see what they would say) They said OK and the lady got on the phone and ordered it!!!! AWESOME, so the inside will be like brand new now!!!

YAY!!!:cool1: I would like to have a 2007, but my checkbook tells me NO...LOL

Congratulations!!!

Oh WOW!!! Congrats to you too! Sounds like you got an excellent deal. I would have never thought of asking for new carpet. That is AWESOME that they went for it. GOOD JOB!:thumbsup2

Way to go! The DVD is one of the things I love about ours. It was great for those long trips. When we first got it the kids would watch movies just going to the store!

Only word of caution, the flip down screen makes it hard to see through the rearview mirror. One of the only design flaws in the interior that we have discovered.

I test drove a 2003 Tahoe last week and I loved it too, but it did not have all the features this one did and it had 79K miles on it.

In May we got a 2004 Chevy Z71 suburban and I LOVE IT! Before that we had a dodge grand caravan, we still have it fir the run around car. The Chevy is in the garage for family things there are 7 of us. The kids call it the Z well so do DH and I to. Kids love the DVD the previous owner had the bigger screen put in 10"!!
It is hard to see out of the rear view.

Ours has a flip down DVD player too. I also got XM Satellite radio and the remote key starter. Those are the 3 things I wanted the most. We were looking at the Tahoe's but Chevy didn't want to come down on the prices around here and GMC did so Yukon it is!:thumbsup2 I love it though. The ride is so smooth and I'm pleasantly surprised by the handling and the acceleration. I really thought both would be sluggish and hard to drive.

Like many of you, our Yukon was the splurge of a lifetime. We had been saving soooo long. I was driving a 1994 Ford Areostar and DH had a 90 minivan. Sometimes it took both cars to go someplace. We also test drove a Tahoe and loved it but, it was not big enough with 5 teens. And their stuff. And their friends stuff. And their Friends :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We have the XM radio and DVD package the kids wanted...I got the keyless start remote and leather seats and dh got that huge cargo space in the back. He HATES driving anywhere with stuff on TOP of the car. It was a little bit more than I wanted but with a good size downpayment I don't know what we had been waiting for. I loved not having a car payment since the 90's but, I love this SUV! DH couldn't believe how well it handled. He also thought it wouldn't handle real well because of the size.

I always loved how tight my Yukon could turn... it was easier to park than our car! I do miss that with my Suburban. What I don't miss is the kids arguing. We now have captain's chairs in the middle row, so they don't touch! We have the 10" TV/DVD/VCR and XM radio. Thank goodness we got it used, or we could never have afforded it! It's a 2002 with 39K miles. BTW, our Yukon was a 1999 with 170K on it when we traded it in. It had just started having transmission trouble when we traded it in. I was so pleased to get such great mileage on that truck! It still looked great and ran like a champ, though!

Bring the gas money.:goodvibes

Another Big SUV'er here that loves long drives in a roomy vehicle!

Congrats to the OP!

We did the same thing in regard to getting a bigger vehicle just before a Disney Drive! So I guess that means my $1800 vacation really cost
over 30K!:rotfl: shhh...don't tell DH!:lmao:
