I finally broke down and bought a new cell phone. My last verizon purchase did not make it to two years--I had to get a replacement on EBay. Lately it has been having electrical problems and shutting off at inopportune times, etc. Today was the last straw--DH thought I hung up on him--so I called him back on DD's phone and told him I was headed to Verizon.
I got the Krazr Fire for free after a rebate. It had been 2 years so I had a $100 credit on a phone, plus the $50 rebate, so it ends up costing nothing. Of course I got the case (it is a PRETTY phone but gets smudged up) and a car charger for $40, and enabled texting for DD's BDay present--I got her the $10 a month for unlimited verizon and 500 other message and told her one overage and it's gone. She's going to be 15 so this is an easy way to get her a gift, LOL.
For myself I got the $5 text package for 250 messages. I don't see texting anyone except DD so should not be an issue....in fact I sent her my first text today!
Had to figure out the settings, get new ringtones....I'm having fun right now. Hope the honeymoon lasts!
