I got a new 'do!

That is, a new hair style.

I hadn't had a haircut in months, and my hair had gotten quite long. I had no idea what to do with it, except that I wanted to keep it long.

So on Saturday, I went to my usual salon and loved my hairdresser's latest haircut. I asked her to do the same to me. She said the cut is called a "face frame" meaning most of the hair is kept long, but the sides are tapered and layered, as are the bangs.

Anyway, I love it! It's easy to style, and if I do say so myself, it looks great.

Between my new 'do and being well on my way to becoming a size 12 again, I am looking like one hot little mama these days.

Now, I hope my DH appreciates how good I'm looking lately and buys my Christmas present accordingly.

Sorry, guys, no photo of the new haircut--yet. I think Serena is referring to the photo on the "show your face" thread. That picture was taken a while ago.

I should have some new pictures of me and the family after Christmas. At that time I will attempt to post them.

And I hope at that time, I will be in a size 12 (and comfortable in it--I hate skin tight clothes).

I have that same haircut and I love it. You are right, it is so easy to take care of - a must for me since I was cursed with baby fine hair that does nothing but lay there.

My hair is baby fine, too, Snoops. I'm on Day 3 of styling this cut myself and wishing I could find a way to "freeze" my hair so that it always looks this good.

Michele, I've got 14 days left of work. It can't go quickly enough! I got stuck in the worst traffic yesterday morning. Some nimrod took out a utility pole at the intersection of 46 and the Turnpike. I sat in traffic for an hour, and kept thinking, it's only a few more weeks, few more weeks, few more weeks...

Tony, you are so sweet. I guess I always was a hot mama, but now I'm a much thinner one with a nice hairdo.

It's parted off-center, but with wispy bangs and layered, tapered sides. The back is blunt cut and longish, about 2 inches below shoulder length.

Hey your new hairstyle sounds like mine!

I've been wearing it like this for a while now (it's probably time for a change) but it's so easy to keep up with it I don't want to change it! It's a perfect style for fine hair, like mine!

My stylist uses a carving razor to get the layers that frame my face.
