I'm not sure if people working at Starbucks in Target are offered the Target discount, but if it was the Target office that hired you, I would think so... Is all your paperwork going through their human resources department?

Congrats!! My husband was a Starbucks employee until his recent lay-off, but the Starbucks inside Targets are not owned by Starbucks, they are owned by Target, they just pay Starbucks for licensing so I would guess you will get the discount.

Thank you guys again. I at least feel alittle more in control. Target is who I went thru for drug screens, background, etc. all thru their HR, so I guess I will get paid thru Target also. That will help with diapers, etc. a discount is a discount. I know that I will be working in Starbucks, but if I hear anything on some $$$$ savings, I will for sure let y'all know.

I am very happy for you as well. And as far as it being silly to be exited over $8 hour, well, that's a far cry better than $0 so I don't blame you a bit for being excited!

Hooray for you (and here's hoping you get the Target discount as well - which I suspect you will since you were hired through Target )!

I recently found out that I'm going to have a $10,000/yr cut in pay (starting with my July check), but as much as it will hurt, I'm grateful that I at least still have a job.

You go, girl! I agree with you, I'm sure that after what you've been through, you feel like you've hit the lottery. I have no doubt that they will appreciate having such an enthusiastic (and appreciative) employee!
