I got a great rate for May (and I'm not sure how)!

My DH and I decided to make our reservations tonight for May at POFQ. The first time we called, the CM told my husband there were no AAA rates available and quoted us a rate of $140 for a water view room. We had been told by another CM a couple of weeks ago we could get a AAA rate of $120 a night. So, following the good advice that if you're not happy with the CM, call back to get another one, we hung up and called back. After a few questions, this CM gave us a quote of $79 a night for a standard view!!!!! I almost fell out of my chair! We even called back to make sure this was confirmed and that we would be getting a confirmation letter in the mail. I have been waiting like many of you for May codes to come out, and I can't believe we got such a good rate w/o one. I feel like we won the reservation lottery!

Wow, congrats on the great rate! We don't have ressies ourselves yet for our next trip- would love to get a hold of a deal like that! Maybe you had a special e-mail code that you didn't even know about!

Help, I am new at this, that is a great rate. I got a quote of $110 for pop centry. What # did you call to get the reservations? Is it best to call disney direct or go through a travel agent? I have never been to disney before. Thanks for the help all! Michelle

We usually call Disney directly, although I know a lot of people on these boards like going through the online travel agents, like Dreams Unlimited. And, sometimes, it does pay off to call a couple of times before making a reservation. In our situation, we called three times and got three different quotes; the first got us a rate of $120, the second $140, and the third $79. So, I would call back and ask for another quote for Pop, without mentioning your original quote of $110. You might get a different answer! Also, keep reading these boards; you will find a wealth of information!

Same thing happened to us in March. Here they had on the computer that they sent me an e-mail, even though I didn't recieve it. So they gave me the rate. Congrats to you.
