Target has the B/W one for $25 and I got the color one and ask if it was on sale and they gave the 2 of my colors to me for $25 each so total came to like $52 for 2. There $74 a piece so I got 2 for less then 1. Whoo hoo.

Did they know they were doing that or was it just an inexperienced check out person. I need to get one of these for my DD also?

Wow! I was excited to get a raincheck for one at Target for $61.00 the Saturday after Thanksgiving. (They got more in that Tuesday.)

I am not sure if she knew. I was the last in line and she was in a hurry to get out. It rang up at $74 and I told her aren't they on sale and showed her the paper fo $25 and she just rang it up. all the other accessories are 20% off. I just lucked out. You got a week to try different people. Someone is bound to give it to you for $25 I am going back for 2 more this week.

Nothing personal, and I honestly don't mean to be judgemental. But what you did is wrong. The cashier can wind up losing her job. Loss Prevention programs keep track of all items, and this will show up. Is that worth it to you to "steal" from a company, and take advantage of a inexperienced/over worked cashier? Plus you want to go back and get more?? The item isn't on sale. Either pay what it costs, or wait for it to go on sale.

I agree with you. Knowingly ripping off a store is theft.

I was willing to pay full price. When I showed her the paper it says all other Pixter stuff 20% off. She choose to look at $25 and I am going to take that price. The company manager needs to go over the sales with there employees and if they don't not my problem. I paid so its not stealing you can have whatever judgements you want. Stores have a policy if they ring something up for more then whats marked its free I would also demand that. Things are overpriced and I will take a deal when I can and anybody whos says they won't either have money to spend on anything or are lying.

I guess that is where you and I differ. I WOULD have told her that it was 20% off and not the $25 item. Target DOES NOT have the policy if it is rung up wrong then it is yours free. Yes, certain items are over priced. That is why I don't buy them or I wait until they are on sale. The stores do not set the prices, the toy manufacturers do. Stores like Target usually sell below the manufacturers retail price. You didn't get a "deal". And the fact that you said you were going to go back and get more??? What does that say?? It says to me that you are not honest. And yes I love a deal, an honest deal. I got up early on black Friday to go to Target to buy Season Seven of Buffy for 17.77. That was a deal. A deal would have been getting the toy for the 20% off like the ad said. And you complained about things being overpriced?? Yes, they are. You want to know why??? LOSS & PREVENTION, THEFT. When someone does what you did, that means the company loses money, and has to make up for it later. That results in higher prices for everyone. And no, I do not have alot of money. I actually have problems making ends meet every month. I am selling my kids outgrown items on ebay and not donating them so I can have some extra pocket money. I will get off my soapbox now.

I have to agree with JoiseyMom on this one (and I am not lying). I try to set an example for my kids in terms of not lying and cheating, and this falls under the category of both.

Sorry have to agree with previous posters and back them up for having the courage to speak up. Its is wrong!! :earsgirl: It was wrong the first time and you knew it but to go back and try to cheat again!!!!!! This is taking money out of everyones pocket. Some one has to pay.

I also agree with the HONEST posters. This is outrageous that you are even thinking of going back to try to pull this off again. You should be ashamed of yourself. If I knew which Target you went to I would call them myself to let them know about this. I am on a VERY limited income myself but I am NOT going to steal and then call it a deal!! It is just like switching tags on merchandise. It is still theft by deception.

I also agree that it's wrong.

To me what happened to you at Target is similar to a cashier giving the wrong change in your favor. Some dishonest people keep it and others make the cashier aware of the mistake and give the money back.

I was hoping you were telling us of a great deal on Pixter because my DD wants one, but you only posted about a big mistake by one cashier at one Target.

IMHO, you are being extra greedy if you actually try to do this again and I cannot believe you are sharing your cashier's unfortunate mistake with others and encouraging them to try it.

I don't even know what this item is, it doesn't matter, what you are doing is WRONG! If you would have got this by an honest cashier mistake I would overlook it, however the fact that you "are going back for 2 more" and have "a week to try different people" just proves that you are trying to rip Target off! Thank You for raising the prices higher for the rest of us.

This is NOT the kind of "bargains" I'm looking for!

well, the ad says pixter for $25. It doesn't say color or B&W and Target.com does not even have anything but color pixter. and I can't find it on amazon either. So kill me cuz wednesday I'm going to Target for one.

Once.....it's the cashiers fault (imo) the person should have looked closer at the ad. Try to do it again......it's stealing.

If you look at the picture of the pixter in the ad, it is SO obvious not the color one. They look entirely different.

The original pixter does not and never has had the B/W attatched to its name when for sale. It has always been called just "PIXTER". When the Color ones came out they have always been referred to as "COLOR PIXTER". Just like when gameboy came out. It was just gameboy and NOT b/w gameboy. When it was enhanced with color the name changed to gameboy advance.

The cashier probably does not have children and was not familiar with what it was. Maybe you can find a poor innocent cashier that will do this but even if you do you are still cheating the public and stealing.

I am emailing Target to alert them to this.

This is what is on sale at Target for $25. "Pixter Creativity System"

This is what the OP got...Pixter Color which is really $78.99, not $25 so I highly doubt anyone else will get away with this.

Good idea! I highly doubt though that another cashier will fall for this. It's so obvious that only the OLD Pixter is that cheap and the new Color Pixter is still over $70!!
