I got a fire engine!!

and 3 firefighters...

DS is turning 7 in July and he wanted a rescue heroes birthday. SO..DH is bringing a Police Car (and the chief) from his department and Charlottesville Fire Department has set up a Engine Display complete with fire fighters. Talk about real life rescue heroes!!

I am so excited..I can't wait for his birthday! I'll never top it though

Can he do this with city/county equipment?

I know our local fire chief used the city pumper truck last summer to fill his swimming pool.....and got into loads of trouble because it was for his personal use. He almost lost his job over it.

Wouldn't want anything like that to spoil a happy birthday occasion. (You know there is always "someone" lurking out there just waiting to point the finger to get someone in trouble).

Sure can. Just have to ask. The only thing they ask is that you remember they are on call vehicles and will go if there is an emergency...otherwise they gets to hang out at the birthday party for 2 hours.

The city has a special website for kids and the fire engine was listed there...DH just checked with his cheif and added the car!
