I finally got a discount code email, but its for REGULAR price! What the ???

I got a code, it gives me the special price of $99 plus tax per night for a value resort!

How stupid do they think people are? I was so excited to finally get a pin code, but after reading the email I am more depressed. I plugged my dates in online and its only $82 per night, so the code would actually cost me more than without it!

Oh well, I am happy that others are getting some great prices. Maybe I'll get another 'REAL' offer some other time.

Anyone else get the same 'deal' as me?

I got a similar email too -- it says $82 at value for such and such dates (which is regular price) -- however at the bottom it gives me 20% off more narrow dates.

I got the same "code" but the e-mail also said below, OR 30% off during select dates.

Did you look further down. That is what mine said as well since one of my saved offers said I wanted to come in May. Underneath it said or if your dates are flexible, save 20% off most stays between ... I think it listed all the value seasons.

Check again, maybe you have a code. It seems the Canadians are getting 205 as opposed to 40%.

Good Luck, check again. :goodvibes

I just got the same thing. I thought I had hit the jack pot. But $99 is the regular price for when I'm going. I thought it was funny on the email that it said be sure to have your PIN number ready when you call.
Maybe I should call and see if I can get a moderate for the regular price of $165 with the pin number.:rotfl:

My code is even worse - $109. :rotfl2: I just received this e-mail this morning. Yes further down there is also a 20% off but not at the time that I'm hoping to go.

Those prices may include tax. Double check rate to see if it indeed includes tax; that would make more sense paying $99 at a Value when the rack rate is $82 without tax. If anyone is considering staying at a Value, it's a little cheaper at POP due to the different tax rate (which is related to the county where it's actually located).

Here is the text from the email (I have omitted the 'fluff' and my pin code of course. Just doesn't seem like a deal to me, unless I can squeeze my vacation into one of the 20% off slots. We're planning on going in Nov, so I guess not.

I got the same e-mail. I had ordered the planning DVD a couple weeks ago and had input I was thinking of going in November, that was addressed in the e-mail. It's probable that you could get a room only discount for 20% with AAA so the offer was depressing. Not to mention that we changed our date to the first week of December andthat week wasn't even included in the offer even though it was in value season.

That sounds like a discount to me...or am I missing something?

Yeah, those few 'slots' mentioned at the bottom of the email are 20% off. I think what bugged me was the huge promo part of the email was $99 per night for a value, acting like it was a deal or something. Its more than the price I got using NO code ($82 per night).

I called and asked if it was a 'typo' or if they really were charging more with the code. I lucked out and got a really nice CM, named Wednesday. She was a little puzzled herself because she plugged in my pin code and the price of the room came up to more than when she used no code. I didn't make a reservation, obviously. There was no other discount that came up under our names, so we'll just keep waiting.

I got the same email today that had the values at a base price of $82. I had priced everything last night online. I called and could get CSR for $119.00 a night. So I priced 8/10-8/18 at CSR with 9 day park hopper/water passes and deluxe dining. It was at least $600 less than I had priced out online, but the 20% off the room would have saved closer to $300.00. The CM said that in order to add the dining plan he had to find a different code. Now I wonder if I got 40% off the room. I’ll have to do some figuring.:rotfl:

I got the code in a email, too. I had already booked the Poly for Oct 22 -29 , 7 nights, 2 adults, 12 yr old dd, and 9 yr old ds. The code changed by room rate from $3,142.09 to $2,513.07. Can I hope for something better with Disney Visa, AP, or general public codes come out? Or is this as good as I will get for the Poly? :confused3

I thought I really had something when I first opened the email. What a joke!!!

I would love to get $82.00 a night at Pop 2/24 - 3/1 instead of the $119.00 that I keep getting quoted for Peak rates. How do I get a code like that? I am signed up under all the areas and have requested a DVD. I would love to have a code :confused3

I'm glad I read this thread before i checked my mail....otherwise I may have been in for a letdown. $82 for a value rate or 20% off the regular....sounds like a normal rate or the equivalent of my AAA...some deal!

I got the $109 one too, but the 20% off special dates. Doesn't work for my dates. Oh well.

I got that email also. For the dates I gave Disney when I ordered the DVD, the price is $99 for a standard value (same as the email stated). But if I move my dates one week to fit in the 20% off period, then I will get 20% off of the $99 rate. My interpretation is that there is no discount for the dates that I originally selected and they listed the regular price (if booked online through WDTC) just as an advisory, but then they let you know there is code for other dates.

I think it might be the company trying to move potential travelers to to a slower time. I am not sure why some people got a standard quote that is more than what they would have booked through Disney (i.e. $82 verses $99), but this is how my trip worked out.

20% is still 20%. To answer a previous poster's question, you may or may not get a better rate. My experience is that when I have received a new code I was able to switch. So if you get something better, you should be able to apply it instead of the current offer. HTH
