I got a call from Disneyland yesturday....

The phone rang and on the caller ID it said Disneyland!!! I was confused and answered the phone and it was my new guide calling to introduce himself. I had previously had Edwin Rivera and thanks to these boards found out he isn't a guide anymore. Anyway I was waiting to hear from DVC to see who my new guide was. Finally he called yesturday, Sergio and he is located at Disneyland! Anyone else have him as your guide or anyone else from Disneyland? Does it matter that he is over there and not at WDW? Just curious.

Our guide is at Disneyland. She is great, she transferred from WDW as did many other guides there. They attend all of the DVC conference calls. You should notice no difference.

We have only seen our guide once, that was when we originally toured BWV. Everything else has been handled over the phone, so I don't suppose it matters where the guide is located.

Hey...I gotta question about Guides. We toured the SSR property with Jim McCoy and thought he was great, oh and the property was great too. Anywho, we've decided to buy but have opted to go the resale route. Since we went that direction will we have a Guide or will we just get an 800 number to call for services? Just curious!

We toured, was assigned a guide and then purchased resale. What our guide told us is that once we close on the resale contracts, we will be assigned a guide that was originally assigned to those contracts. He said that if we would like to continue to use him as our guide since we've met him, all we'd have to do is request that he be assigned to us.

You will be assigned a guide ( not sure if you will get Jim as you might be in the system with him already but not sure).

It doesn't matter if you buy resale or direct , once in the system we are all treated the same. DVC owner is just that a DVC owner.
