I got 20% off my wand yesterday for being a resort guest

We bought 3 wands, and paid the full price, $30.xx including tax (I think it was like 86 cents). Then yesterday, we bought a 4th wand and the girl working the register asked if I was staying at one of the resorts and asked to see my room key. She gave us 20% off the wand. When I told her that we already had bought 3 wands with no discount, she said that we should have gotten it.

Just wondering if anyone else got the discount?

o.k.....so not cool!!!! I don't know why they keep everything a secret!!! I also bought 3 wands. I did however get the aaa discount but that was only because I read that on these boards!!!!! what a rip off

I'm curious to know to if any other resort guest received a discount on the wands. I'll be a resort guest in Oct. so I hope they do! I will also have the AP. Is the AP discount allowed for wands?

AP discounts are accepted, never heard of the resort guest thing though

This is the first I've heard of a resort guest discount too. They give discounts for AAA and annual passes on wands.

Can anyone possible describe what these wands are or what they look like? If anyone could possibly post a pic I would greatly appreciate it. We are going to universal in January, and alot of people have been talking about these, but I have no idea what they are, nut my kiddos might be interested. Also, were they $30.00 each or $30.00 for all 3? Thanks so much in advance =)

you can purchase the wands from the different characters in the movie or you can purchase your own wand. My family bought the "birthday" wands. they are wands that go according to when your birthday is. the price was $30.00 each We already have Harry's wand

However, the park does not stock all the wands.. and they could be out of certain ones.

OP here.

Yeah, I figured the worker messed up and I really wasn't supposed to get a discount. I thought maybe this was something that not all the employees knew about.

If resort guests were supposed to get 20% off of park merchandise, then Universal owes us LOTS of money. We spent a fortune on souvenoirs this trip!
