I found info in Budget Living magazine (December2002/January2003 edition) on a little known eclectic area in Orlando near downtown called Thornton Park. The magazine went on to describe the area with a few hip establishments, chic restaurant, also with botiques and a spa-hotel called Eo` Inn and Urban Spa (www.eoinn.com).
It also described a b&b called The Veranda B&B (bed and bath)(www.theverandabandb.com) I checked out the site & the rooms look pretty interesting. On the left hand side of their webpage is a special for the summer months of $79 for queen rooms & $89 for kings. Now since this is a b&b they have quite a few room styles available. They also have cottages with lofts available too. Their website is pretty interesting and very descriptive with lotsa pictures.
Now I in no way have any affiliation with this property but wanted to share with all you wonderful Dis'ers that may be looking for something off the beaten path or something different than theme hotels.
Check it out and post your thoughts here or if anyone has stayed, can you share your opinions???
