I Get A Lump In My Throat..........

When I watched some of the media's coverage of the pro-war rallies, some of the children whose parents are in Iraq were able to send messages. They were saying "we miss you, we love you, please come home soon", I could barely swallow, I had such a lump in my throat, it hurt. Seeing the soldiers and hearing them send their messages home is another one that gets me. I am, by nature, sensitive about things, but it is gut wrenching to witness the pain these families are going through. The wives of servicemen, holding their little babies and waving the American flag, always smiling......

I have a very difficult time understanding the subgroup of those who were/are against the war who can't see why it is important to support the military regardless. They are just doing their job and aren't really responsible for the politics.

Disnee Dad Says....................................The problem with protesters is about 50 % are part of a marxist group that just hates everything American, they bus them in and give them signs. 35% are guys/girls looking for girls/guys, cause protests are cool and you are doing something to make a difference, and 15 % are level headed americans, with a peace view, that truely believe we can have peace, forgetting the last 12 years. I respect those 15%., at least they thought it out and came to a conclusion. Some idiot quotes in the last week. "I mourn for the hundreds of thousands of innocent lives that will be lost." We bombed everything during dessert storm and killed 3000 civilians
"Maybe they bombed the world trade center because we attacked Afghanistan" This guy is really an idiot.
We don't want to be the world policemen, but if other countries won't do their part, we must, by tradition do more than our fair share, and we will.
