I gave up Askershus, but have a CRT, is that a good idea?

I had a breakfast at Askershus booked, and a dinner at CRT. But to free up a credit I canceled Askershus. DD will still get her princesses.
Good idea? I am feeling a little 'weird' about it lol.

I have never done Ankershus so you can take this for what it's worth....
Coming from the biggest 4 year old who's actually 36 out there, I can't imagine anything more awesome than eating in the castle. I've done it the past two trips and I'll be doing it on the next two trips. I will be doing Ankershus on our July trip though. If it's any consolation, I think you made the right decision, especially if it's her first trip.

Thanks :goodvibes
I am the biggest kid in my family at 32 and I HAVE to eat in the castle lol. We have never done Askershus so I thought trying somethign new would be nice since we had CRT breakfast last time. But I just cant justify the extra TScredit when we are already eating with princesses... and its the castle lol! Even though I have read bad reviews about CRT dinner food

I've had breakfast at both. So, I can't really compare CRT for dinner. Based on breakfast, I'd choose CRT every time, if I you can spend the extra money. To me, eating in the castle is a magical, very unique experience. I feel that eating at PSB is more like eating in a restaurant with princess' roaming around.

I did have dinner there at Christmas time and it was actually very good and we had a much better server than our trip in July at breakfast.

I have done both and their is nothing like eating in the castle. They are both average when it comes to the actual taste of food, but CRT is bay far much more magical! I think you made an excellent choice no matter at what time your reservation is, CRT all the way!
I hope you and your family have a lovely time. :rotfl: :goodvibes

We have eaten in both - so here is my two cents. While there is something special about eating in the castle - I actually prefer the food and princess interaction at Akershus. Plus CRT is two table service credits while Akershus is only one. Also take into account when you are going because currently all the windows at CRT are blocked so there is no view from inside the castle.

Alternate option - keep Akershus for breakfast and add a different princess dinner thus costing only 2 table services for two meals instead of 2 for only 1 meal.

I would pick Akershus and 1900 Park Fare for dinner before doing one meal at CRT. Yes the experience is awesome but I prefer to use my credits in 2 restaurants as supposed to 1. That being said, we've done CRT in the past and it was priceless to see my dds face when they noticed they were in the castle.

We just came back from our trip where we did both, a Akershus breakfast and a CRT dinner. I was a little worried that it was too much of the same thing and that my dd4 would be "princess-fatigued". Turned out she loved both meals. Two are very different in atmosphere both in good ways. As for the food, I think they were both average, but I can't remember much about it since I was always too busy taking pictures and helping my daughter come up with questions or something to talk about with the princesses.

We are going in Sept and I have a 4 yr old who LOVES princesses. I was thinking of doing both for breakfast. I am not on a MP so it will be OOP. I am thinking breakfast for both. Is it worth going to both?
