I found something disturbing

This just makes me so sad... I remember when there wasn't even taken, let alone anything like this! This is unbelievable, and we have to put an end to it. Us dis'ers would never put up with ANYTHING like that. I can't even believe they would make a room about this, it's just wrong. Everyone report it if possible, this is the worst thing I've ever heard about that breaks the values in the game. It would be great if you could get the name of the girl, so it makes them believe us...

People are just plain sick, especially the extreme taken rooms. I accidentally went into one of them one time, and I almost threw up. They had two chairs put right up next to each other(front to front) and there was a photo album by it. The photos were of people sitting in them, but the first one said(Bay Be making area) or something similiar to it, and the other ones actually said how to do it in vmk. I reported the room like five times. :sad2: :sad2:

Just an FYI - it is easier to report the room by going to the room to report it. But if you choose not to, just click help - use the person's name, room title, and be as specific as possible.

It seems like people are getting bolder and bolder with what they'll say or try to say.

I reported someone last night, she was still a guest. She was going up to every male character in the esplanade propositioning them. She took dictionary dancing to a new level.

Never seen that one before. But I have seen "-watches mummy put me in a box- Why you leave?!!" If you report the response will come really fast. Someone's sig was so disturbing. I reported him, and hopefully he got banned.

now i understand why you can see it being disturbing. but you must also try to see it from there point of view. now i've read the other quotes about abortion that people have in their signitures and i think it might be possible that they arent trying to gross everyone out i think it might be possible that they are protesting against abortion and they said that to make people realize how wrong it is. now i know some of you might think im insane for saying that or because im partially siding with them. but i have a friend who is a protestor against abortion and other important issues i had her read the quotes that you all consider so disturbing she told me and i quote "what that person says is a form of protest against abortion, i have said many things very similar to what that person has said and have been considered and inspiration, but i mean not to be rude but i think yall are being judgmental of the person who posted this, i mean have any of you even talked to the person who posted it to understand their point of view on the subject until you learn that you have i believe honestly no right to say rude things about them because you dont know the full truth behind it"-by michelle
and i totally agree with her at least until someone talks to the person that posted and find out what they mean by it and until then i will stand firmly by my friend michelle's statement.

I don't totally believe that but you may be right. I am also against abortion because I feel it is wrong (babies are people too!). But I'm not sure. Maybe we should find the person and ask her. You could be right.

She is correct, it could be a protestor. However, VMK is NOT the place for protests. It is a game produced for children.

We all have things that are happening in this world that we disagree with, but to protest on a game such as VMK is what others find disturbing. And also can be very confusing to the children on VMK that read things like that.

Can you imagine what a child must think, or how frightening it must be when reading such a grown up topic? A child is not thinking "oh this is a protester", they are thinking that parents are doing this to their (born) children.

The Virtual Magic Kingdom is not the place to protest such a controversal issue, or to even debate it for that matter, in my honest opinion. I think they try to keep VMK as family-friendly and as user-friendly as possible. :goodvibes

I am sure if they want to protest abortion, there are plenty other places to do it in real life. ;)

ETA: Was typing this when the previous post was posted! I'm sorry for this post being redundant. lol.

I saw someone who was at the Castle Forecourt last night trying to stir up
trouble. It wasn't what he said that bothered me, but the way he kept
repeating it so that others would be shocked and offended.

Basically, he kept saying, "I <3 Boys", announcing to all in sundry, "I'm gay",
basically. Big whoop . He may or may not have been gay, but I tend
to doubt it. My gay friends don't go around announcing it every five seconds.
Sheesh.

But it was obvious he wanted a response, and he got a girl saying "gross".

This is the garbage in VMK I don't want to see. I don't care if you're gay,
straight, black, green or purple. I don't care if you're pro-life or pro-choice.
Don't try to stir up controversy. It doesn't belong in VMK.

vmk isnt a place to protest but your making the person sound like to me in my oppinion a convict, i beleive the person was protesting when they said this but at least they have a great deal of maturity to not make there protests out loud then the situation would be differnet. and like i said before no one has even talked to the person that said this and dont take offence when i say this but i dont think anyone wants to tear what this person has to say, i just think you want to tear them down and make them feel like there evil. when you have no idea about the full reason on why they said it. i mean i can think of a few reasons that might have lead them to post that. i mean the person for all we know she might know someone that had an abortion like a family memeber or a friend, or just maybe there own mother had an abortion before they came along i for one can realate to one of those situations my cousin had an abortion when she was 16 and she told me it was the worst decision she made and if she could go back and fix it she would but she cant so she protests abortion whenever she gets a chance. if it is one of those situations i would do the same thing they did in heart beat and wouldnt give it a second thought because i knew what i was doing was right. i dont care what you think about me or what i say but until someone talks to the person that posted it im going to stand firmly on my opinions and fight for them. and if the person did that for the reasons i say im going to help fight for that person beacause its the right thing do.

texas - thats all well and good, but protest or not, it still does not belong in a kids game. Do they put anti-abortion ads in Highlights magazine? C'mon use some common sense.

I don't get it....I thought Bay Be's were brought to Mom's and Dad's in VMK via the Bird on the Bird Hats instead of Storks? At least that is what I was taught years ago.

I do agree with you all. I am extremely against abortion and have even protested (silent march) before, but there is no reason for that issue or any other adult issues to be on a children's game. My daughter is only nine and while she knows what abortion is, she doesn't need to see it on a family-oriented game. Nor does she need to see the other truly disgusting things that have been mentioned here. Personally, I don't want to see it either. I really feel for the folks at VMK. What a tough job they have. I see the continuation of all this eventually taking the game from being free to there being a charge to play.

i am using my common sense. it makes me wonder if you understand anything i wrote. no one and i mean no one knows anything about the person or the reason why they posted it. i mean for all we know the person that posted it in their signature might be a child and yes it could be possible.

I totally understand were you are coming from about abortion. I am against it also. BUT, not all venues are appropriate for protesting.

To use common sense means that you KNOW where it is appropriate to protest your belief, so it has the best impact. And you use that venue, to help towards the cause, to get the laws passed. A childs game can not help this cause.

I understand exactly what you said: It is ok if it is a protest. But, in reality, it is not ok. First off, free speech does not even come into play on VMK or any website/message board which you do not own or run. Second, it is a game for KIDS - it is not a place to air your hate for abortion, love of god or any other moral or religious beliefs. Third, as a parent, if VMK allows that type of behavior, my children would not be allowed to play VMK - (side note: my son hates VMK already so it is not an issue until the youngest one wants to play in about 7 years - my wife and kids are in Flordia right now (St. Cloud actually) and while my wife is going to swing by DTD, the kids are going to Universal instead, and Disney has Phinny and the "Black Hole" to thank for that one) - Fourth, as an adult, I play VMK for an escape from the real world, you bring teh real world into it, it is no longer an escape.

EEEEWWW!!!!! I think that "Bay Be" has gone WAY too far..

If that doesn't demand staff investigate I don't know what..

Bring on the barf bags.
I agree this should remain in life science classes.
