I found my MVMCP ticket from 1996

Can't remember the price, but I have the picture of Val & I from that year posted in my office.

$14.95 before the AAA discount.

I have my ticket from Cirque from 2000... I also keep my last KTTW card and my Castaway Club card in my wallet... just because...:goodvibes

My internet went down sorry it took me so long to post.

$24.99 it was from 8 to 1am. The parks were empty and their were characters every place with no lines.

Wow! If only we could trun the clock back to get those prices again. We didn't know how good we had it. It's amazing how much the prices have gone up.

And sad how much the value has gone down. :sad2:

And we used to get a *free* family photo at that time as well.

They had several stations, a nice holiday themed backdrop and they mailed the photo to you a couple weeks later. MNSSHP did that as well.

Yup. Taking that away was the last straw for Val & I after all the other cut-backs. Haven't gone since then.

I have to agree with you.

My mom and I used to go every year at Christmas and stay at the Contemporary on the Jolly Holidays package (Jeff, did you and Val do that?) anyway we paid $89 A NIGHT at the CONTEMPORARY back then!

Oh the prices and cut backs...

We never did the Jolly Holiday package Kim. For some reason we just never paid attention to that event.

It was something my mom and I stumbled on and it is still one of my all time favorite shows they have ever done. I miss it so much.

Wow! That is very cool. They really should do a "Turn the Hands of Time" event and have prices like that again. ;)

As a point of reference, the average price of gasoline in 1996 was $1.44 per gallon and the federal minimum wage was $4.75 per hour.

:) Yes and Disney didn't have value resorts then either. Very good comparison to put perspective on it on how much things have gone up in price.

I found the ticket and it was interesting to me - so I shared it. A little nostalgia for when times were simpler and the times I spent with my mom at Disney before I had kids and was a kid myself.
