So, my fiance and I are attending MNSSHP on October 4th and we were debating back and forth about whether we would dress up or not. Eventually, we decided we would dress up and I found my costume. I'm going as Snow White. Unfortunately, I have blonde hair so I am going to have to get a wig to wear. Here is my costume:

I would love for my fiance to compliment my costume somehow...but there aren't any good Snow White options (dwarfs...bleh). Any opinions??

Not the prince? I always felt bad for Snow White's prince - he never got a name of any kind. There is always the huntsman from Snow White (the guy who was supposed to bring back her heart in a box). I tried to find a decent picture and couldn't. if I remember correctly he was a bit "Robin Hood" looking wasn't he?

See, that's the thing. The only Halloween costumes they have for Snow White are Snow White and the Evil Queen. No Prince. I found Cinderella's Prince Charming, but that's it.

It'd be nice if they made a costume for the Prince for Snow White :confused3

What about generic princes or generic period garb? Then you can add a crown to the costume and make him a prince. It's not exact but you could get the idea of it across.

Now I feel even worse for his prince. No name and no clothing!

Was I misinformed? I understood that they didn't allow adults to dress as Disney characters, so that there wouldn't be any confusion with the *real* characters. Does anybody know for sure?:confused3

I had the same question... Adults can dress for special events (pirates and princesses, MNSSHP, MVMCP, etc), but not during regular park hours.

If you can't find a prince outfit you could dress him as a frog.

This was 1 of the better costumes/combo's last year we saw. I have pictures but can't find them now. I will keep looking.

Jeff

You could just buy a generic prince costume...the frog idea is very cute, too! Rest assured, adults can dress up! But, be warned, I wore Cinderella last year and had my hair (it is blonde) all fixed, and I was pulled aside by two cast members (my kids were very confused!)who kindly informed me that I cannot sign any autographs or pose for any pictures as Cinderella! It was funny!

Surely you are not serious about dressing up as a character and strolling about the entire day like this? What is the mindset within certain 'disney-philes' that would possess an adult woman to actually want to do this?

I also cannot believe Disney would allow this. A guest stealing some of the princess thunder to speak....Also so much potential for liability. For instance, lets just say that a male (or female) pedophile or child abuser enters the MK dressed as say, a prince or princess and has children coming up to meet them...god what a nightmare scenario.

So what happens if you do enter the park and start posing with kids to take photos? If I was Disney i would have security swoop in and remove you. They have reacted this way to much less in the past.

Its just a bad idea really. Please reconsider.

The huntsman is a good idea. The costume could be kind of generic-period type.

BTW... I think it's great that adults dress up for MNSSHP.:thumbsup2 Even if some other grumps... I mean grownups don't think so.:sad2:

Awww...thanks for your opinion. You seem REALLY intelligent and well-informed.

A few things though...

* I will only be dressed in costume from 7pm-midnight...you know, during the actual hours of MNSSHP.
* Disney World ALLOWS adults to dress up, even in Disney attire.
* I'm not a pedophile and neither is my fiance, so don't worry your pretty little head.

Oh, and my "mindset" for wanting to dress up is that I want to have fun, like any normal person would.

I'm so happy you felt comfortable enough to express your opinion, and I respect that you ask me to reconsider, but I WILL be dressing up.:rotfl2:

How about Dopey? There's the scene when Snow White dances with Dopey, while he's wearing a long coat and balancing on another dwarfs shoulders. Could he find a long coat and purple hat and pull it off somehow??? Good luck whatever you choose.

I must say... That reply ROCKS!!!:lmao:

if you are up for a little craft project snow whites princes costume looks similar to a musketeer (sp?) costume with some slight alterations.... like a belt. no? am I stretching to far here?.... belt and a red cape should make it close.

(i can't post the picture i found of them.... something about low post count but if you google snow white's prince it should show up)

I did just find this one online. Its not an actual "Snow White's Prince" costume, but it seems kind of right, doesn't it??

i think that one that you found would do just fine. everyone will understand when you are standing next to each other! have fun!!:thumbsup2

That prince costume is great! Or he could always dress in black and paint his face so that he looks like the Magic Mirror!
