Where in colchester is it? Since it's about 30 minutes away I just HAVE to check it out. Especially if its got Disney stuff.... I've got a joanns, michaels, and acmoore right in manchester but I've bought them out of all disney related stuff and I've GOT to have more!!!! Besides DH is home with me recovering from one surgery and waiting (not so patiently) for DR to give the okay for the next one. He's gonna be out of work for at least another 6-8 weeks and anything I can find to do that is out of the house just may save his neck any further trauma!!
Does any of this signal that I've got a problem????

I've been to that store a couple of times. It's about 20-25 minutes from me.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to explore the store. Ds is ALWAYS with me, he is NOT scrap store friendly. I've only been able to run in and get out as quickly as possible. I haven't been able to get past the Chatterbox before I have to leave. They have always been nice enough to grab the matching Bazzil for me.


ajksmom, Its on Rte. 16 (I think). Take Rte. 2 and then take the exit where the Ukranian Catholic Church was the exploded. I am assuming that Coventry would be coming South on Rte 2. So you would need to take a right off the exit. It's a few miles down on the right hand side. I know my direction giving skills are cruddy.


I haven't actually been in but there is a scrap store further up in Marlborogh. For me it would be Rte 2 North the exit for Rte. 66 take a right off the exit and it is in the strip on the hill on the left.
So I think you would just do the opposite.

Will you be visiting Westbrook? There is a scrap store in Old Saybrook, (Can't remember the name) that would be MUCH MUCH closer than Colchester.

Thanks for the directions. I will find my way there no matter what. We happened to take a ride thru colchester yesterday and I looked at every storefront on rt 85, checking for it.
And if we had just taken "a little detour" I'd of been there yesterday!!! Oh well, something to look forward to.

Interestingly, Dh will be in Richmond VA in August. I'm thinking about taking the kids and going with him. He'll be in meetings all day. Do you know, Is there anything for me to do around the Richmond airport area with a 2 yo and a 7yo. Or should I just pack his golf clubs and send him on his way?

I live off of Rt 82. So funny to see the post of the LSS in Colchester! These boards just feel more and more comfy!

There is also a great "Wiggles and Giggles" LSS in Rocky Hill! That one is even bigger with a lot of scrapping opportunity. She has a website to look at!

Does the store in Rocky Hill have any disney related stuff? I made the trek up to Canton a few weeks ago to see "new england scrapbook store", really nice place, lots and lots of disney stuff but what a haul!! would love to find somewhere closer.

While this thread is alive and well why don't we "share" what LSS we know of and our impressions of them if we've been to them. I'll start.
The Inspiration Station in Stafford Springs. Okay store, most employees are friendly and helpful. No disney related stuff to speak of. For me the michaels,joanns,and acmoore in manchester can compete and are cheaper when you use their coupons.

New England Scrapbook Co. in Canton. Very nice store. They have a huge castle that displays some of their disney stuff. Shelves and shelves of alot more. Just got alot of new stuff (disney/harley davidson) expect more disney in june. Very worth the drive.

Read in the Journal Inquirer that a new store opened in windsor/east windsor? Threw the paper away and now can't remember the name..did anyone hear anything about it?

I do know there was one here near where I work in Windsor, Paper Capers. Unfortunately they did close down in November.

Does anyone know what exit the store in Colchester is off Route 2? I live in South Windsor and if I could hit that one and Memory Lane, that would be a good day of collection of materials!

I still can't believe Colchester came up in a thread!
I'm trying to catch up with my Disney album before my next trip..2 weeks! A lunch maybe in Colchester would be fun! Maria's Pizza is right next door! I would say Mariana's (more upscale) but we might spend all our money for scrapping!
