I Found a Le Cellier Lunch ADR...but Still Hesitant?

I forgot to mention that I'm going to also be doing the Dine with an Imagineer experience at the Hollywood Brown Derby. Is the filet there comparable to that of Le Cellier? If it is, and knowing that I'm not going to cancel DwaI regardless, I think I'll live for now without Le Cellier. Maybe this trip only has room for just one outstanding beef experience. :confused3

I don't know if you're interested in going to Le Cellier for something besides beef (sounds weird, I know), but after our meal there three nights ago, my husband claimed that the roast chicken with spicy sausage was one of the best dishes he's ever had in his life! Although I didn't try it, it really must have been good--he used his spoon to drink up all of the leftover sauce!

It sounds like you've already decided that you don't want to go to Le Cellier. That's totally fine. Nobody is forced to go to a restaurant that they don't feel like trying. But if that's the case, you should probably cancel the ADR so someone else who actually wants it can go.

It's with that reasoning, that I've made the decision to cancel my Le Cellier ADR. I think that at this stage in the palnning process, it'd be too hectic to try to work in a very specific ADR that I don't neccesarily think I can commit to. I think at one point I really wanted to try out Le Cellier because of all the hype, but they were booked my entire stay. Since then, I found other alternatives I may not have considered before and have grown to appreciate what I have. So in the end, things worked out and all I really can do is just hope for the best. Thanks for helping me out through this awesomely awkward ADR conversation..good points were made and I've learned a thing or two. :worship:

Oh, and if any solo diners wanted to snatch up my ADR, it was for Sunday - January 29, 2012 at 12:20PM.

I think you made a good choice considering your desires. As many have posted, Le Cellier isn't some kind of must-do-everytime experience with godlike cuisine. It's just a restaurant that's pretty good compared to some other 1-credit WDW locations. You have some great meals planned, and even the ones I wouldn't personally pick (Biergarten and Teppan Edo) will offer some form of entertainment and a social experience that LC doesn't provide. :)

We have had a meal at LC several times.....a few lunches and a dinner before it became signature. We do like it very much and every time I've had the filet it has been awesome. However, on our last trip in October we had lunch there and while it was excellent I had an even better filet at the Wave (Contemporary) and DH had a pork loin which he said was also fantastic for dinner during the same trip.....something about the seasoning was incredible.

I found it to be completely over rated! We did not enjoy it nearly as much as I thought we would and it was one of the top 3 I was really looking forward to. We were there for 14 days and ate out every day! Edited to add:we did in fact think it was one of our worst meals on our trip. We were pretty let down!
