Im trying to get into exercising. I tried doing Richard Simmons and found I have NO coordination whatsoever. I just couldnt get the steps he was doing on his Disco Video.

I went out yesterday and bought Fat Buring Walk 2 Miles by Leslie Sansone and it really seems like something I can do! I watched it and did a little of it this morning (The kids are up and kept coming in and watching me thats why I only did a little of it). Best thing about it is it is all easy natural moves with little coordination needed to do it.

She has three other videos out and I just might pick those up for some variety.

Thanks! I'll have to try that one.

I only have one exercise video tape that I love. Its Richard Simmons "Sweatin to the Oldies". I've tried another of R. Simmons videos and it was too hard. I don't remember what it was called but they were in a house and people would come in and out. Just didn't like it at all. But this oldies one is way fun, a good workout and I can even do it with two left feet. Honestly I'm so uncoordinated when it comes to these things but this one is fun and easy to follow. But since its the only one I have I'm getting a little tired of it so I'll look for the one you recommended! Thanks again!

Tell me more about that video lvs_eeyore. You walk in place? Sorry, I'm easily confused, just trying to figure out how I could walk 2 miles in my living room ;)

Kath yes you do walk in place but she adds walking forward and back and side to side also. She tells you though if you are space limited just to walk in place. It doesnt get boring because she adds upper body conditioning with the walking so you are doing more than one thing at a time and working more than just one part of your body. It only takes 30 minutes to do also. The beat of the music lends well to the walking also. I REALLY like this video a lot.

I do the 2 mile walk faithfully every day.
With the weather being so horrible here it's the only exercise I seem to get

I really like the walk away the pounds video's (if only I would do them). The walk is really want I would call marching in place but with the added side steps, forward steps, knee lifts, kicks, and kick backs you do not get bored. Add to it the upper body (arm) movements you get a really good work out.

I was up to the 3 mile (45 min) workout but then life got in the way. I am starting up with the 1 mile (20 min) work out and hoping to work up to the 3 mile again.

I have 3 of her tapes. "walk the Walk"--they are called. These are to Christian music in the background. I have enjoyed her tapes.

I love those video's. They are very easy to follow. I have the one mile walk and the two mile walk with weights where you walk with 1 or 2 pound weights.

I have the 1, 2 and 3 mile walk tapes, and the 1, 2 and 3 mile express tapes also. I have just started with them, but I do LOVE them and it is something that I feel I can fit into my schedule. I am not a lover of exercise, but I do feel good after doing the walks. I guess as long as we are moving (and not eating, LOL) it has to do some good:)

Are these videos available as DVD, too? I think I would like to get a couple of them.

Kath I just did a search on Amazon and YES they are available on DVD. The prices werent bad either for being DVD's. If you want to get them from Amazon just do a search under DVD and Leslie Sansone.

Katholyn, I believe they are available on DVD. I am not 100% sure, because my SIL gave me the VHS tapes as a birthday gift. I know she ordered them from TV. I can check with her during the week and get back to you if you would like.

I love Amazon.com. I think I will order this and force myself to do the workout :)

I just did the workout and what a GREAT workout. It was easy to do yet you feel the results. I didnt get one single bit of what I call foot confusion while trying to do it. She was easy to follow and the time went by in a flash. I really think this is something I can do every day.

Kath I really think you will like this workout.

I've "walked away" 60 lbs with the help of Leslie's tapes! I also have the Richard Simmon's Sweatin to the Oldies, but I like Leslie's better. I don't have to move furniture out of the way. And her voice is not quite as annoying.

Congratulations Pig Pen on your weight loss. Thats WONDERFUL!!!

You are very right about her voice. She motivates you but her voice is calming. Richard tends to get on my nerves after awhile.

I have the 3 mile and 4 mile videos. I also have the older firming video and newer firming video of her's that I love. I like the older video a lot more than the newer. It is easy, but you feel it.

Glad you are enjoying the tape, Karen.
I'm gonna go out and get it! I need something to do other than the treadmill. :)
Sounds like a great workout! :)

Has anyone found them at KMart, Walmart? Or should I try a christian bookstore? Do I understand correctly the music is Christian? Thanks!:D

I think the ones with Christian music are audio tapes you listen to while walking the treadmill or outside. I don't recall my videos having Christian music.
