online guides seem to be outdated...and i just can't remember. we've never actually had to use FP for POTC, as the line never seems long at all when we visit. and i think i remember at one point at least, FP machines were at POTC, but are the still?

:confused3

No FP for POTC as far as I know.

The line definitely moves fast, especially when they have both sides open!

thanks for the quick replies! i just realized too, that by going to the disneyland website, each attraction listed says whether or not it is part of the FP system.

thanks again!

No FP? ARRGGHH!

Seriously you would never need one for Pirates unless you went back in time to 1983 or something.

I agree with all the other posters. Don't be fooled by what seems to be a long line outside of Pirates. Sometimes it looks super ominous and the standby time may say a 20 minute wait, but they have found a way to speed it up and the line zips along. You are rarely standing in one place for long, and we usually end up on the ride in 10 minutes, and then go back on about 4 more times!

Bumbershoot, do you notice that my Mickey ticker is finally moving? Remember it was staying put for a while and I thought it was a bad omen? Hopefully, the fact that the slider is advancing is a good sign!!!

Sherry I remember you saying that....but I didn't even know that was a ticker!!!! It's a secret ticker. :)

Oh along with saying that the lines move fast, also know that sometimes you'll pick the shorter looking line, but it has tons of hidden line space you didn't know about! We chose the short side, but it took us alllllll the way back under/almost behind the Gallery, er, Dream Suite, and was so much longer than the longer other line. :upsidedow

There's a problem with my "ticker" too, it has one too many days!! We're actually leaving in 6 days, not 7. :sad2:

We took our first trip to DL in fall '06, shortly after they added the Jack Sparrow character (and others) to the POTC ride. The lines then were insane!!!

I agree with the others, though, that even if the line looks long, it loads really fast. I think the longest POTC line we've stood in was about 20 mins. :thumbsup2

They used to have it but then decided to take it out. It loads very quickly so fast pass is not really needed.

Now I can't wait for them to put the FP machine back up for HMH!

Aaarrrrggghhh! pirate: I can't wait to ride it again!

You know what threw me, was Jungle Cruise. You think the line is really short, but you end up looping here, there and everywhere, and up and down a set of stairs! Still didn't take long to get through, but the line is really deceptive.

You know I've never been in teh Jungle Cruise line when all of the possible queue is used? Guess it's the timing of our trips, but we've never dealt with stairs in our lineups for it.

Though last trip we had to be in line three times to ride it once, b/c DS kept having to pee NOW as soon as we got near that exit from the queue. Yeah we could have left one of us in line and gotten back in, but that never feels comfy for us.

But no stairs. :upsidedow

I have only done it once and it was just a little spot up and then immediately down the stairs. It would be insane to wait more than like 10 minutes max for Jungle Cruise.

Just out of curiosity, when did POTC have a FP?

yes, that line IS deceiving! i won't wait longer than 15-20 minutes for jungle cruise myself, which means we always end up riding it very late at night. in fact, i don't think i've ever ridden that ride during the day, lol.
