I should have taken a picture of the heinous wallpaper that I removed, but it was too heinous. ;) After spending a day stripping it, I decided to destroy the baseboard radiator cover. I had to a have a plumber come and remove the rest of it and put another cover on.

The next day I painted. Its hard to see the color in the pics but it is a light, light, light, peach, called weathered sandstone, Behr paint. DH hung the new light fixture which you can't see in these pics. Its brushed nickel with 3 lights hanging down, nothing special. I found the prints for less than $20 each. I love summer and these reminded me of the Beach Club. One of the pics is taken in the mirror so the room looks larger than it is, but that way I got almost 3 walls.

It looks great. Did you plan your colours based on the pictures? They tie in beautifully.:thumbsup2

Of course, when I read your title, my first thought was...well, when are you going to bathe the other half of yourself?! ;)

Yes, I actually did. I also had to have a wall color that didn't class with the tile, so I did both. There are a lot of "sand" colors within the prints so I could have had a range, if it wasn't for the floor, which I wasn't about to change. I knew I wanted a beach theme and was about to order prints on line of sandpipers, same artist, Jacqueline Penney. Before I ordered, I decided to check Homegoods. They usually have a lot of "beach" prints. I lucked out. I didn't get sandpipers but I loved the colors in these so it worked out. I had the blue rug that I bought for another bathroom and didn't need. Glad I hung onto it. Just noticed. You can't see the rug but it is the exact same color as the blue towels.

Dawn, I  your color choice, but then I'm biased because my bath is the same color! If you don't mind, where did you get the prints? I've been looking for "beachy" prints, but everything I've seen has those white, weathered look frames and so they end up blending into the wall.

$19.99 at Homegoods, but it was pure luck. If you go to Art.com you search Jaqueline Penney. I saw those prints there, although I was going to order the sandpiper prints. Then you can go to Michaels and buy premade frames in the color that you like. Sometimes you have to crop the pictures a bit, but it is easy. Most prints are available for less than $20, and you can use your coupons for a discount on the frames if they aren't on sale. I wouldn't have been able to get the prints and frame them for what I paid however. Have you thought of painting the frames if you like the prints? With regard to the color, it is such a restful color, I would even like it in the kitchen.

Congratulations on finishing it! We're in the middle of painting, re-flooring, carpeting and decorating our new home. I'll have to post pictures when we're done (right now it feels like we'll never finish!).

I have been at it all winter. It rained last week, so I needed something to do and it needed to get done. My SIL keeps asking me what color she should paint her bedroom, green or blue. There are only a million shades of each. One thing that I have learned this year is to pick out the bedding, curtains, etc, and THEN pick out the paint. It is easier to find the right paint color than the right comforter set, pictures, etc.

When do you bathe the other half?;)

DawnCT, I was waiting for you to adjust the title. It was too funny before!!:rotfl2:

Wise words! The paint store can match any color, but running around trying to find bedding to match paint is expensive, time consuming, and frustrating!

Room looks great..I'll bet it's a huge relief to have it done. I have a full bath that desperately needs a makeover, think ugly tub and tile 3/4 of the way up the walls. Apparently, all houses in SC at one time thought that tile on the walls of every bathroom was a great idea. At least my person got white, but still....

That radiator thingy...I know this is an ignorant Southern question, but is it actually still used?

In the northeast? Sadly yes. We have oil/hot water heat and it circulates through that white baseboard thing you saw demolished in the first picture and then how it is supposed to look.

ty. I love the color, although I can't claim credit for it. The room was that color when we moved in. It's the only room where we haven't changed the color. I'll definitely be checking out HomeGoods this weekend.
