I finally reached 240k on fireworks..

And won.

The only way I won was because the top 2 players stopped playing once they reached 240k.

It is so wrong that a person is penalized for winning by not getting the fireworks magic and by getting lower credits.

Because of this, I was basically cheated out of my rightful pin and extra credits.

I'm really going to contact VMK and tell them they need to change this.

Congratulations on reaching 240! It IS a big accomplishment.

I'm sorry you weren't able to get the fireworks pin though, people stopping once they hit 240 is a fairly new thing, I think. I keep clicking away right until the game is over because I hardly ever reach that mark myself.
Now that you are able to get that high (and with more practice, will do so more often), hopefully you will be in a game with the right group of people, and will be able get the rewards of second (or lower) place.

The second place thing (to get the magic pin) has been that way since beta, I used to think it was something they would fix, now that it's been so long..I wonder if they always meant it to be that way.

It was set like that on purpose by the VMK Staff. People have told me that the staff did that to make it harder to achieve the pin and credits.

Luckily, I always get the bunch of credits!

I am so close to breaking the 240 mark. I can consisitantly get 220ish, and about every fifth game it shoots up to 238... 239.... but then back down to 220.

You all are so sweet! Thanks for all the offers to help. Unfortunately, I can only play at night during the week (unless I'm off sick). I don't dare try to play at work since my monitor is partially viewable by almost everyone in my office, including my supervisor.

Yeah. This is the way I've been for the last few months. I've been able to get to about 238-239 but usually get only 220-226. And of course that's only if I'm not playing against all the really good players.

So I don't know when I can get back to 240 again. All I can do is keep trying. My computer starts to get really slow with response with this game. Sometimes it actually helps, most of the time not. And then it seems that even when I click on the stars, it still says I missed it.
It's just really hard to try and figure out when to click on them.

So, I'm basically over my own upset from last night. It's not fair what happened. But that's life. No one ever promised that it would be fair.

So I'll just keep on trying like everyone else. I'm just happy that after 6 months of playing, I finally did reach that goal. And I'm now sure that I'll eventually reach it again since I know my computer can do it.

I do have to say I am guilty of occaisionally stopping at 240K- but usually only when playing on my kid's characters when I'm trying to build up their credits or like the other day when I was playing as my secret self and stopped because I was also doing the same- and one time I stopped to late and actually won with 240,065 lol the 2nd place person got 240,001 and 3rd-5th didn't make it to 240...

Usually though when I play as myself I just go for it- since my goal is now to push my score higher and higher to get on that high score list lol... one of these days...
