After much research, consideration, questions to the boards, thinking, dreaming, planning and on and on and on...we finally have our final plan for our February trip. It will be 12 of us me, DH, DS3, DS5, MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL, Dnef13, Dnef9, Dneice8, and Dneice12.

We are staying in a 5 br house in Windsor Hills Saturday Feb 25th - Sunday March 5th. Then everyone else is going home and the four of us are renting points for a studio in the Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

So we are staying on and off property. We have never stayed on, so this will be our chance to see what all the fuss is about.

We are renting a car for the time that we are in the house and then returning it on Sunday to the Car Care Center and using Disney transportaion for the rest of the time.

I am just so excited that we have finally made our decision.

a wonderful vacation decision!!!

That's our favourite way to do WDW...a little time off, and a little time on!!:)

Sounds wonderful. Looks like you're going to be getting the best of both worlds. Are you all staying in 1 rental home?

We just stayed in a 5 bedroom in Windsor Hills a couple of weeks ago. The resort is really nice, and its very easy to get back and forth to the parks. Enjoy!!!

Sounds great! Hope you have a wonderful time!

Yes, we have five bedrooms, (should be fine we are used to having 4 at the beach). BR1 Grandma and Granddaddy, BR2 SIL and BIL, BR3 Us, BR4 2 neices, BR5 2 nephews. Our kids don't have beds, they will be 3 and 5, but they wouldn't sleep on their own in a strange place anyway. They sleep on the floor or with us and Grandparents. It will be the first time in Disney for the neices and nephews.

So far I have ADRs at Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace for us and CRT for the girls, Pirate Cruise, V&A for Grandma and Granddaddy (That will be their Christmas present) and I'm trying to get our schedule ironed out because I also want to book them on the Around the world on a Segway tour. Grandma wanted a Segway for Christmas last year to get her shopping done, I figured this was the best I could do. We'll also be there for ESPN The Weekend for the guys. The nephews are interested in Street Ball which they say is big in Orlando, but I can't find any info about it. I'm still searching.

There will be a huge difference in space from the 5 bedroom home to the VWL studio but you will LOVE the Wilderness Lodge if you haven't seen it yet. It is a beautiful resort. Transportation-wise, it'll be nice not to have to drive back and forth in the car everywhere. The WL has a boat launch right to the MK.
Enjoy both your stay in the home and the studio ! :cheer2:
We prefer onsite ourselves, but have no problem staying offsite as well.
