It took me 3 weeks of working on it a couple hours (more on the weekends)a day but it's finally finished!
It's a surprise for DD who will be home this weekend for spring break! She has always wanted one. This is my 4th Log Cabin Quilt that I have made. The pattern is called "Barn Raising".

It's lovely....:D I have such appreciation for quilting talent and patience....:D

WOW!!! That is awesome. I wish I had the talent and the patience to sew like that. I can't even sew in a straight line for a hem in my pants.

Very nice, looks nice and cozy!!!:)

VERY nice, Sandi!!!!! Looks comfy. Bernadette will love it when she sees it, cool.

That's beautiful, Sandi. :) I can't believe you made that so fast.

Beautiful. Glad you posted this, I love seeing other quilters work. I;ve been away from the boards lately doing my other passion-quilting and will post some pictures soon.

There are so many quilt sites that you can access and have boards too so splitting my time with, work, quilting, boards and of course the family has me very busy.

I'm sure your daughter will love it. She will probably know how much work you put into it too. Not everyone understands that portion of it.

Thanks for posting this. :)

I'm sure your daughter will love it. :)

Beautiful ranatra and such lovely soft colors..thanks for sharing the picture.

I am working on a new pattern, one I have never done before and I am shocked at the teeny, tiny pieces it takes.

Beautiful! Can I have it for my log cabin?:p I took apart an old log cabin quilt that my grandmother made for us when we first got married. The kids had worn it out, and I wanted to salvage some of it, so I took it apart into components that could be made into pillows.

LOL Diane, believe it or not, I thought of you when I was making it and how beautiful it would look in your new log cabin!

If you do get those pillows done, don't forget to show us!

They are already done! I have one that is just one block on each side, one that is 4 blocks square, and two that are one block by 3 blocks. I plan to use them as scatter pillows. I don't have them stuffed yet. They are easier to store now before the move if I leave them flat.

Sandi....that quilt is magnificent! I'm sure your daughter will love it!!!!

I am always in awe of someone who is so talented. Needless to say, sewing on buttons is a challenge to me! And my mom sews beautifully and my grandmother was a seamstress.

I just re-read your post and just now realized you did this in 3 weeks! You are fast!

Sandi, that looks absolutely wonderful!!!! You did such a great job!! I know your DD will love it :)

WOW!!!! It is beautiful! It's beyond beautiful. And you did that ALL in only 3 weeks? I am very impressed.

Thanks for sharing. I need to go by some fabric... ;)
