It's a pretty sharp look'n camper Rog .

Looks Great! Congratulations! I'm happy you found what you were looking for!

Great news Rog. Glad to see everyone enjoying the driveway camping, but looking forward to photos of the rig at the Fort even more.

PS - glad to see that Gina is doing fine again. Was it her knee that she had surgery on recently?

Hey Rog, Glad you found something and can focus your attention on getting it like you want it now. Im sure your girls will enjoy it and it will serve you well. I love my Pop Up and would only add an indoor shower potty combo if I could. But Like I discussed before Im looking at buying a new truck when the prices drop in September so after that I'll be able to up grade to a hybrid or light weight Toy Hauler. I would love to carry my Harley or a cart places. But that will require a bigger truck so that may wait. I'm really looking at something like a Jayco 232 Hybrid. that way I can turtle on real bad days.

On the fridge problem. Not sure about Coleman but on my Jayco the switch is under a vent panel outside. I have do turn mine on by selecting which way i want it to operate. And if I use propane I too have to ignite it. Hope it all works out for you.

Congratulations Rog ! And by the way every RV is perfect when it's parked at FW.:cool1:

Congratulations on your new (to you) pop up. Our first camper was also a(new to us) Coleman Pop Up and we absolutely loved it. Your layout looks real similar to ours. Our best memories are from our family camping trips in our pop up. Here's to you and your family also making great memories. Maybe will see you at the fort sometime.

Congrats and well wishes! Welcome to the RV family. It is a way of life and something not easily given up.

There is nothing better to bring a family closer together and create lifelong memories.:thumbsup2

Dangit Rog, I thought we had a deal??? My truck and TT for your truck, payments swapped!!! Man, now I got to make this months payments :scared:

I am really happy for ya man! Hope you have many many great memories in your new pup.:cool1:

Rog, Best wishes on the pup. Here's to years of happy camping :drinking1

congratulations-12.gif

PS Love the Yankee shirt!!!! :thumbsup2

Open the outside hinged panel. There is a black knob if it's a 3-way refrigerator - Gas, DC and AC. Turn knob to AC. It should start getting colder within a couple of hours. (I have a small thermometer hanging in mine so I know when it's cold enough to put the food in - 40 degrees.) Try AC first, especially if all lights and other electrical are working.

Congrats Rog! It may not be everything you wanted, but it's a start. You should have seen our tiny little pop up we started with. It doesn't matter, it's yours! Have fun with it.

Rog I have a Coleman Pop Up as well and I have to remove the cover from the outside of the Fredge should be a 2 part cover you need to remove the lower part and there you will find a switch for 12V one for 120V and tyhe controls for gas. becarefull as to only use one at a time.

Yep! I saw it on the back side of your camper on a picture. It's white and may have plastic screws in it you turn and it all pops out. Give it a bit and it should get cold!

One thing about the various fridge vents, heater vents and what not. If the previous owner didn't already do it, you'll probably want to cover the vent openings with a smaller mesh screen. Not necessarily window screen, but something large enough to keep flying insects (read wasps) from building nests inside. Before I had done this with my pup I ran across a 6 inch diameter paper wasp nest in my fridge. And a smaller nest in my heater. Instead of buying the covers you can find a the camping stores I just secured some 1/8" mesh to the inside of the covers with silicone. Worked like a champ. Did I say I hate wasps?!?!!?

Have fun with your new toy Rog. Hopefully we'll run across each other at the Fort sometime.

I wish I'd gotten this info sooner! I went through my PUP today with a fine tooth comb, cleaned it and packed it up (we've been driveway camping too :goodvibes)....need to take it in for some service tomorrow. I found 6-7 wasp/hornet nests behind vents, under all the nooks and crannies.....I started to ask my DD to help me put it up but she was having so much fun swimming and playing in the yard that I left her alone. THANK GOODNESS! She is allergic to bees and it was like war fare...me shooting them with spray, them flying after me with their stingers bared...me spraying more. If someone had a video camera I'd probably be $10,000 richer right now. I am happy to say that my PUP is bee free and I WILL be getting some mesh directly!

I have to say Rog...I am really happy for you! That picture with your arms out you just looked like KING! I know you are thrilled! ENJOY!

Wow awesome trailer. It looks almost identical to our last popup. Great layout. You will love it. If you want any storage ideas for that layout I have a couple to share if your interested. I would offer help with your fridge but everyone else has chimed in about it already. My you and your family have many great adventures in it.

Awesome looking PUP!! Our first camper was a Coleman Cottonwood pup...and I loved it! Everyone has given you good advice on the fridge. When I first bought my Coleman I thought the fridge was broken, but all I needed was some PATIENCE for it to get cold. And it DID get cold! Hopefully by now you've got a cold fridge. Gotta keep that beer cold for the long drive from NOLA to the Fort!!

Congrats on the PUP!! :banana::banana::banana:

Congrats Rog and family!! Looks like you will be having a summer full of fun!

Congrats Rog I knew you would find one. Don't get upset when you have to fix something thats just part of owning a camper. Some times making the repairs can turn into great memories. Me and my dad a few years ago had to replace all the wood in the front half of his 1981 TT. It turned out to be fun:confused3
