We were at WDW 4/3-4/9 and we definately felt the magic even though it was pretty busy.
First, we got upgraded at check in. We had a standard room at AKL, but were upgraded to a savanah room. When we opened the door we were amazed at the view. Three giraffes were in close view to welcome us to our new "temporary" home.
We were celebrating a birthday DS4 and went to soaring using FastPass. This was his first big boy ride as last year he was too short. Anyway, we were in line and DS6 told a cast member about his brother's birthday. Soon we were waiting in line and ended up with the best seat in the house for Soaring. DS4 totally enjoyed the ride.
We ran into a couple waiting in line at Splash Mountain. Turns out they live about 5 miles down the road from us in the next little town.
We were lucky enough to be part of the EE Grand Opening. We were on celeb watch and got a chance to see many people. Some we knew were stars, but didn't know who -- they did have the plaid vest escorts.
Well, we got to ride EE without any lines which was awesome, but as I was getting into the train, I looked back and saw that I was riding on the same coaster as Joe Rohde. That was a riot. As I walked by, I gave Joe a thumbs up and said excellent ride.
He smiled back.
That next day, My family was able to be part of the live studio audience for The Daily Buzz. The show was fun. It was neat to finally put faces with the names of the stars I saw the night before. My kids definately go some great face time on national TV.
The last part of the magic was the weather. We left Wisconsin to wind and rain for fun and sun in Florida. The weather was great. That alone was magical.
Overall, it was a great trip and I'll have to wait for a return trip. I think the next Disney vacation will have to include a very big boat.
