Oh I can relate! Glad you're ok, but I understand how your ego can be bruised.
Last week I was at a huge mall and my son unexpectedly stopped right in front of me. I didn't see him and I tripped right over him. Next thing I knew I was face down on the floor - phone and glasses scattered. I just laid there for a minute because I couldn't believe I had just done that and my face was on mall carpeting (ew!). Embarrassing... but it got worse! My (special needs) daughter panicked and started yelling at the top of her lungs "HELP! MY MOM NEEDS HELP! CALL 9-1-1! HELP!". My husband just stood there shaking his head as tons of people poured out of the stores to come gawk at the clumsy lady on the floor. And then my son said, in front of everyone, "I had to duck out of the way so mommy wouldn't squish me!"
Two huge bruises on my knees, but it's my ego that's in bad shape!
